Marketing, Events, and Creative Manager The District - 3.7 Columbia, MO Job Details Full-time $48,000 - $54,000 a year 2 days ago Benefits Health insurance Paid time off Retirement plan Qualifications Photography Vendor relationship building Economic development Marketing analytics Brand activation campaign events Digital design Full Job Description The Marketing, Events & Creative Manager serves as an active member of The District team by leading the organization's visual communications, social media presence, marketing initiatives, and event development efforts. This position is responsible for creating compelling graphics and marketing materials, managing The District's digital presence, assisting with the planning and production of community events, and helping develop new festivals, activations, and experiences that attract residents, visitors, families, and businesses to Downtown Columbia. Working closely with the Executive Director, Board of Directors, community partners, sponsors, and downtown businesses, this position plays an important role in enhancing Downtown Columbia's brand, increasing visitation, supporting economic vitality, and positioning The District as Missouri's premier downtown destination.
SPECIFIC DUTIES
- Assist in the planning, development, promotion, and execution of District events, festivals, and community activations.
- Collaborate with the Marketing Committee, Executive Director, staff, businesses, sponsors, and community partners to enhance Downtown Columbia through marketing and events.
- Design and produce print and digital marketing materials for District programs, events, and initiatives.
- Manage The District's website, social media platforms, email marketing, and digital communications.
- Develop engaging content including graphics, photography, video, newsletters, and promotional campaigns.
- Promote downtown businesses, events, economic development initiatives, and community stories through a variety of marketing channels.
- Assist with sponsorship recruitment, fulfillment, grant opportunities, and media relations.
- Build and maintain relationships with downtown businesses, community organizations, vendors, entertainers, and partner agencies.
- Monitor and evaluate marketing and event performance using analytics and community feedback. 1
- Maintain consistent branding across all District communications and marketing materials.
- Support the Executive Director, Board of Directors, committees, and staff with marketing, communications, and special projects.
- Stay current on marketing trends, social media best practices, design tools, and emerging technologies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
