Job Description

Position Summary Emerald Tree & Shrub Care is seeking a highly visible, relationship-driven Field Marketing & Community Partnerships Manager to build awareness, trust, and qualified sales opportunities across New Rochelle, lower Westchester County, and Fairfield County. This is a hands-on local growth role at the intersection of field marketing, community engagement, content, and business development. The manager will become a familiar face for Emerald Tree Care in the communities we serve; developing relationships with referral partners and decision-makers, representing the company at association meetings and local events, creating locally relevant content, and building programs that generate qualified leads for our sales arborists. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable planning a targeted client event, attending an evening association meeting, interviewing an arborist for a short video, introducing Emerald Tree Care to a property manager, and reviewing lead results with the sales team. This is not a desk-only marketing role or a sales position. Success means creating productive local relationships and converting community presence into measurable sales opportunities. The manager will work closely with the Regional Marketing Manager to translate broader brand and growth priorities into an effective local media and activation plan. Together, they will coordinate budgets, agency support, campaign timing, creative needs, and performance reporting while ensuring the New RochelleFairfield market benefits from strong local insight and execution. Key Responsibilities Territory and Field Marketing Develop and execute an annual and quarterly field marketing plan for the New RochelleFairfield County territory, aligned with sales goals, seasonality, priority services, and target accounts. Partner closely with the Regional Marketing Manager to develop and execute the local media plan, including recommended audiences, geographic priorities, channel mix, campaign timing, offers, and supporting field activations. Build targeted campaigns for high-value residential clients and commercial/institutional segments, including property and estate managers, cemeteries, golf and country clubs, universities and schools, municipalities and parks, garden clubs, landscape professionals, architects, and related referral partners. Maintain a practical territory calendar covering association meetings, community events, sponsorships, educational programs, trade events, and relationship-building opportunities. Coordinate direct mail, email, social, local media, sponsorship, and event activity with the Regional Marketing Manager and outside agencies and vendors. Contribute local market intelligence, customer insights, competitive observations, content, and field feedback to improve media targeting and campaign effectiveness. Develop and manage the local marketing budget in partnership with the Regional Marketing Manager, tracking commitments and actual spend and recommending reallocations based on performance and changing market opportunities. Brief and coordinate agency support for local campaigns, creative assets, media placements, events, and production needs; provide timely local inputs, approvals, and execution follow-through. Evaluate activities with the Regional Marketing Manager based on qualified leads, opportunities, revenue influence, relationship value, and cost effectiveness. Community Engagement and Events Serve as an active, professional ambassador for Emerald Tree Care throughout the territory. Identify, join, and participate consistently in relevant business, property-management, horticultural, civic, and community associations. Attend breakfast, evening, and occasional weekend meetings and events; build genuine long-term relationships with members, organizers, prospects, and community leaders. Plan and execute educational seminars, garden-club talks, client appreciation gatherings, arborist-led workshops, lunch-and-learns, property-manager programs, and other locally relevant events. Evaluate sponsorship opportunities and negotiate packages that provide meaningful access, visibility, and lead-generation value. Own event logistics from concept through promotion, on-site execution, lead capture, and post-event follow-up. Partnerships and Business Development Build a network of referral and strategic partners, including landscape firms, landscape architects, garden designers, property managers, estate professionals, real estate advisors, insurance professionals, builders, and other trusted service providers. Research and prioritize high-potential organizations, properties, and decision-makers within the territory. Conduct thoughtful outreach, introductory meetings, site visits, and relationship follow-up to uncover needs and create qualified opportunities. Open doors and secure meetings for sales arborists; partner with them on account plans, presentations, educational programs, and follow-up. Maintain relationships with prospects and partners over time, recognizing that high-value tree-care opportunities may have long consideration cycles. Support proposals and presentations with relevant company credentials, case studies, local insights, and customer-focused messaging when needed. The role may assist with early-stage opportunity development but is not expected to diagnose trees, prescribe treatments, estimate technical work, or replace the sales arborist in the consultative sales process. Local Content and Brand Presence Create and manage a steady stream of authentic local content featuring Emerald Tree Cares expertise, people, projects, seasonal guidance, community involvement, and customer stories. Capture useful photos and short-form video in the field and translate arborist expertise into clear, polished content for homeowners and professional property stewards. Maintain a local editorial calendar and coordinate approvals, publishing, and reuse across social media, email, website, sales materials, and partner channels. Identify case-study, testimonial, public-relations, and community-story opportunities while following customer privacy and property-access requirements. Protect a consistent, premium brand presence appropriate for discerning residential clients and professional property decision-makers. Sales Alignment, Lead Management, and Measurement Meet regularly with sales arborists, the Regional Marketing Manager, and leadership to review territory priorities, target accounts, media and event plans, upcoming activities, lead quality, and follow-up. Ensure leads and relationship activity are documented accurately in the CRM, assigned promptly, and followed through. Establish clear service-level expectations with sales arborists for event and campaign follow-up. Track and report campaign performance, target-account engagement, referral-partner activity, event attendance, qualified leads, sales meetings created, opportunities influenced, conversion, revenue, and return on marketing investment. Provide the Regional Marketing Manager and agency partners with clear local performance feedback, lead-quality insights, field content, and recommendations for optimization. Use results and field feedback to improve the territory plan and concentrate resources on the most productive channels and relationships. Qualifications Required Bachelors degree in marketing, communications, business, hospitality, horticulture, or a related field 4+ years of relevant experience in field marketing, community marketing, partnership development, event marketing, business development, or consultative B2B services. Demonstrated success building professional relationships and turning events, partnerships, or outreach into qualified opportunities. Strong in-person presence and the judgment to represent a premium service brand with high-net-worth homeowners, executives, community leaders, and institutional decision-makers. Excellent written, verbal, networking, presentation, and follow-up skills. Hands-on experience planning and executing professional events, including promotion, logistics, lead capture, and post-event follow-up. Ability to create polished local content and capture effective photos and short videos using a smartphone. Comfort using a CRM, email marketing tools (Mail Chimp, Constant Contact), project management tools (Monday, Asana) social media platforms (Meta, LinkedIn, TikTok), and Microsoft Office 365. Highly organized, self-directed, and able to manage a territory, calendar, budget, vendors, and multiple active relationships. Valid drivers license, reliable transportation, and willingness to travel regularly throughout lower Westchester and Fairfield County. Availability for recurring early-morning, evening, and occasional weekend events, balanced through a flexible work schedule. Ability and willingness to spend time outdoors, visit active properties, and walk on uneven terrain in varying weather conditions. Preferred Existing relationships in Westchester County or Fairfield County among property managers, estate professionals, golf or country clubs, universities, municipalities, garden clubs, landscape professionals, or community organizations. Experience in tree care, landscaping, horticulture, home services, property services, luxury residential services, commercial facilities, or another relationship-led local service business. Familiarity with arboriculture, plant health care, or the seasonal needs of residential and institutional landscapes helpful but not required.
