Job Description
Director of Marketing Skilled Nursing Facility Salary:
Up to $110,000 per year We are seeking a driven, experienced, and results-oriented Director of Marketing to lead our marketing and business development efforts at our skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility. This is an exciting opportunity for a healthcare marketing professional who knows how to build strong referral relationships, drive census growth, and position a facility as a preferred provider within the community. The Director of Marketing will work closely with Admissions, Nursing, Administration, and other department leaders to develop referral opportunities, strengthen existing relationships, and increase the facility's visibility throughout the healthcare community. Responsibilities Develop and execute strategic marketing and business development initiatives to increase census and occupancy. Build and maintain strong relationships with hospitals, physicians, social workers, discharge planners, case managers, insurance companies, assisted living communities, home health agencies, and other referral sources. Identify new referral opportunities and develop strategies to convert them into consistent admissions. Conduct regular in-person visits and outreach to referral sources. Represent the facility professionally at hospitals, healthcare events, community events, networking functions, and other external opportunities. Develop and maintain a strong referral pipeline and track marketing activity and results. Work closely with the Admissions team to ensure timely follow-up on referrals and maximize admission opportunities. Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and referral patterns to identify opportunities for growth. Develop strategies to strengthen the facility's reputation and presence within the local healthcare community. Coordinate facility tours and ensure prospective residents, families, and referral partners receive an exceptional experience. Maintain consistent communication with referral sources before, during, and after the admission process. Partner with Administration and clinical leadership to effectively communicate the facility's services, clinical capabilities, rehabilitation programs, and differentiators. Develop and maintain relationships with community organizations and professional groups. Participate in marketing meetings and provide regular updates regarding census, referral activity, market opportunities, and business development results. Establish measurable marketing goals and hold the marketing team accountable for achieving them. Lead, mentor, and develop Marketing Liaisons and other business development staff, as applicable. Ensure all marketing activities are conducted professionally and in accordance with applicable healthcare regulations and facility policies. Qualifications Previous healthcare marketing, business development, admissions, or sales experience required. Skilled nursing facility or post-acute healthcare experience strongly preferred. Proven track record of developing referral relationships and increasing census. Strong understanding of the SNF/post-acute referral and admissions process. Established relationships with hospitals, physicians, social workers, discharge planners, and other healthcare professionals preferred. Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills. Strong leadership and team-management abilities. Highly motivated, organized, and results-oriented. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Professional appearance and excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to travel locally for referral visits, networking events, and community outreach.
