Job Description

Centerville Health and Rehab is hiring a Director of Admissions and Marketing for our skilled nursing and rehabilitation center at 7300 McEwen Road in Dayton, Ohio, right in the Centerville community. The Director of Admissions and Marketing owns our census: every inquiry, every hospital referral, every tour, and every relationship that brings a new patient through our doors. Prior experience in a skilled nursing facility (SNF) or long-term care (LTC) setting is required. We're part of the Pavilion Healthcare family of skilled nursing and rehabilitation centers, and this is a building that's easy to sell. We run a short-term Rehab-to-Home program with a fully equipped therapy gym, long-term care, and respite care, and our clinical team takes on complex referrals: IV therapy, advanced wound care, tracheostomy care, peritoneal dialysis, and cardiac, pulmonary, stroke, orthopedic, and bariatric care.
Our mission is simple:
competent, compassionate, outcome-oriented care, every day. If you're a Director of Admissions and Marketing who knows the Dayton referral market and wants a building that can say yes to the referrals you bring in, we'd like to talk with you. The right Director of Admissions and Marketing is organized, quick to follow up, and just as comfortable on the phone with a hospital case manager at 8 a.m. as sitting with a family on a tour at 4 p.m. What You'll Do Own the admissions process from first call to signed paperwork: take inquiries and referrals, run the pre-admission clinical and financial screen with the Director of Nursing (DON) and Business Office Manager (BOM), secure the bed, and get every admission done right. Build and keep referral relationships with hospital case managers and discharge planners, physicians and physician offices, home health and hospice agencies, and assisted living and senior living communities across the Dayton area. Manage bed availability and referral response times so we answer fast and don't lose referrals to slower buildings. Verify payer sources, including Medicare, Ohio Medicaid, managed care, and private pay, and coordinate authorizations with the Business Office Manager (BOM). Give tours, be the first face families meet, and follow up on every inquiry until it's a yes or a no. Plan and run our community marketing: outreach visits, events, printed materials, social media, and a consistent presence in Centerville and greater Dayton. Track referrals, conversions, and census and report weekly to the Administrator (Licensed Nursing Home Administrator, LNHA). Work daily with the DON, Director of Social Services (DSS), and our therapy team (Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Speech-Language Pathology, or
PT/OT/SLP
) so every admission is clinically appropriate and discharge planning starts on day one. Qualifications Prior experience as a Director of Admissions and Marketing, Admissions Director, or Admissions and Marketing Director in a skilled nursing facility (SNF) / long-term care (LTC) setting is required. Must have nursing home experience. You need to understand skilled and long-term care admissions, hospital referral flow, and how a skilled nursing facility (SNF) census is built and kept. Working knowledge of Medicare, Ohio Medicaid, and managed care as they apply to skilled nursing admissions and payer verification. Existing referral relationships with Dayton-area hospitals, physicians, and senior living communities are a strong advantage. Strong follow-through, clean documentation, and a warm, professional presence with families, physicians, and case managers. What We Offer A building with a broad clinical program and an established Rehab-to-Home track, which makes your job easier. The support and stability of the Pavilion Healthcare family of skilled nursing and rehabilitation centers. A close-knit team that knows residents and families by name, in one of the Dayton area's most established suburban communities. Apply Today If you're a Director of Admissions and Marketing with skilled nursing experience and a record of building census, apply now. We reach out quickly to qualified candidates. IND456
