The Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and executing retail marketing strategies that drive store traffic, revenue growth, and community engagement across our Maryland, New Jersey, and Louisiana markets. Reporting directly to the Senior Marketing Manager and VP of Marketing, this individual contributor role will lead cross-functional marketing efforts to support daily promotional activity, customer retention initiatives, brand awareness campaigns, and new store openings within their assigned regions. This role is based in Maryland, with regular travel required to support New Jersey and Louisiana operations.Responsibilities:
Execute retail marketing campaigns and promotions that support daily, weekly, and seasonal sales goals in Ohio. Drive traffic and revenue growth through targeted marketing strategies across paid media, in-store signage, event activations, local advertising, and community engagement. Serve as the marketing point of contact for regional Retail and Operations teams to support initiatives, share performance insights, and align on campaign execution. Collaborate with national marketing, design, and digital teams to ensure brand consistency across all local market activations. Manage and localize promotional calendars, ensuring timely rollout of campaigns and product launches across all assigned stores. Support new store openings through marketing planning, asset coordination, outreach strategies, and grand opening execution. Coordinate with wholesale partners and brand ambassadors to drive awareness through local events, product pop-ups, and retail collaboration. Identify regional trends, community partnerships, and market-level insights to inform campaign strategy and elevate brand presence. Monitor campaign performance, provide feedback on ROI, and make data-informed recommendations for improvement. Maintain close alignment with in-store leadership teams to support merchandising, visual storytelling, and in-store experiences. Travel regularly to New Jersey and Louisiana to support in-market marketing efforts, store visits, events, and new store development.Qualifications & Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Advertising or a related field preferred. 4+ years marketing experience with a preference for cannabis and/or retail experience strongly preferred. Proven success in developing and executing localized marketing campaigns that drove traffic, increased revenue, and retention of customers. Experience in supporting a new brand, product launch, or store opening and coordinating with cross-functional marketing initiatives. Demonstrated ability to write clear, concise, and strategic creative briefs that guide campaign development and align with business objectives. Excellent project management and organizational skills with a proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to diverse audiences. Strong understanding of omnichannel marketing, including digital, grassroots, and in-store activations. Data-driven mindset with experience analyzing campaign performance and applying insights to future initiatives. Detail-oriented with a strong sense of ownership, accountability, and follow-through. Ability to think both creatively and strategically, balancing innovation with brand consistency. Comfortable working independently while maintaining alignment with broader marketing objectives. Basic design competency (e.g., Canva or Adobe Express) or ability to collaborate effectively with creative/design teams. Must be able to travel in market to support store visits, events, and openings in Ohio. Ability to work occasional evenings or weekends to support retail events, store launches, or community activations.Physical Requirements:
