Position Summary The Brand Director owns the izzio brand positioning to life across every touchpoint. With a deep understanding of consumer and business need states you will manage integrated marketing campaigns across digital, shopper and PR, direct social strategy, brief the internal creative team, and work cross-functionally to support sales and innovation priorities. Fluency in POS data and the ability to build compelling sales stories that win with retailers are a must. This is the senior marketing seat at a fast-growing artisan bakery you must have a strong ability not to just set strategy, but to execute against it. Essential Responsibilities Brand Strategy & Positioning Support development and execution of the izzio brand strategy and annual marketing plans to grow awareness and trial Build and own the annual brand calendar and integrated campaign plans, aligned to business priorities Lead the brand work behind new launches, narrative, naming and launch creative owning the commercial go-to-market plan to support launch success at retail Campaigns & Creative Direction Steward brand identity and guidelines across packaging, retail, digital, trade and social so we show up consistently and authentically every time Lead integrated campaigns from plan to launch across all channels-plan tactics, write the brief, provide feedback, and execute the timeline holding to standards Own earned media and PR, including agency management, alongside oversight of social and influencer strategy with an internal direct report Own internal marketing asset management and owned media channels Consumer & Category Insight Be consumer obsessed - leverage consumer insights in all decision making and be the voice internally (who are they, what do they want & need, purchase triggers) Support defining and reporting on brand health measurement Scope and manage consumer research projects and translate research learnings into key insights that inform decisions across packaging, innovation, messaging and sales Bring a working understanding of retail and shopper dynamics — how the category behaves, and how our consumer shops it. Leadership, Commercial Ownership & Business Acumen Operate as a business owner, not just a marketer: demonstrate an understanding of key business priorities, customers and the consumer. Build and deliver winning sales and retailer-facing presentations — category story, brand story, leveraging POS syndicated data and panel data to communicate consumer insights and sales metrics. Partner with sales and cross-functional leaders to work as one team. Support Sales with marketing programs and assets that help them sell. Manage, coach, and grow the marketing team, setting clear priorities and feedback Communicate strategy, results, and tradeoffs clearly, with leadership and cross functional teams internally. Requirements Bachelor's degree in marketing, business or related field, is required. A minimum of 7+ years in CPG brand marketing, with at least 2 years managing people. Natural products or bakery strongly preferred. A minimum of 2 years of director leadership experience. Exceptionally high standards that you are willing to enforce with an unwavering commitment to quality. The izzio brand standards live with you. Experience with POS syndicated data, panel data, and managing consumer research projects. A strong writer and editor, you can implement, extend, and teach the izzio voice. You've built and launched integrated campaigns and created brand partnerships from start to finish. Walk us through one you owned, what it cost, and what it did. Experience managing external agencies (PR, digital, advertising) and internal teams (social, creative) with a fluent understanding of measuring program ROI Startup speed with ownership mentality, backed with a deep understanding of our customers and end consumers. You want to do the work and not just approve it.

Remote/hybrid, with preference to candidates in Colorado or in MT or PT time zones. No relocation assistance is available.

Compensation Range:
$150,000 to $175,000 plus 20% annual bonus Compensation is based on level of experience, other relevant experience, and requirements of the position. The range provided serves only as a guideline and does not automatically qualify all candidates (internal or external) for the high end of the range.
