Competitive Equipment Product Marketing Manager

Your role Mission

  • Promote the development and growth of the Keep Fit/Service plan and Fixed Price repiar product line through the development and successful implementation of business development and marketing communications plans and excellent customer support and service. Roles & Responsibilities
  • Business Development (40%)
  • In consultation with the Business Line Manager/Vice President, create and implement business development and marketing communications plans.

Present plans to Regional Vice Presidents and Sales Managers and coordinate/motivate sales efforts to achieve established growth and sales goals. Provide monthly reports to management regarding the effectiveness of business plan implementation in achieving sales goals. These reports should include information about the development of the prospect and sales platform, as well as orders achieved. Additional focus on gaining market share through these efforts is of great importance. Sales efficiency (40%)

  • Distribute and train on current strategies and tools for the Service Sales Team.

Develop and distribute new strategies to the CTS sales teams to increase the market and customers share. Develop and implement informational session and training programs as required to achieve business development goals. Hold training sections for the sales teams on the tools that the Service Sales team can utilize and direct their actions for the highest rate of success. Train the sales team on how these tools will benefit them and the Business as a whole. Create quotation standards and systems to ensure excellent, prompt response to customer inquiries. Review competitor positions and create competitor comparison reports. Based on these reports, provide recommendations to management regarding products that could/should be developed. Additionally, monitor competitor pricing to make sure we are competitive in our pricing model. Customer Service (20%)

  • Review and respond promptly to customer and sales staff inquiries relevant to the product line.

Develop an understanding and collect information, as appropriate, to clarify the needs of the customer or the sales group to better facilitate addressing those needs and expectations. Develop rapport with the team through effective communication, interpersonal skills, and professionalism, and strengthen the relationship between sales team and marketing team through ensuring a high standard of customer response. Perform additional duties as assigned. To succeed, you will need Supervisory Responsibility None. Experience 5+ years of relevant experience in sales and marketing of technical, industrial equipment (preferably compressed air equipment). Proven ability to successfully achieve sales goals and implement business development planning. Education 4-year Engineering, Business, or Marketing degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Skills Must be a self-directed team player, who has a positive attitude, can motivate those around them, and is service oriented. Must also have excellent organizational, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Power Point, experience in SAP applications would be an advantage.
