Job Description

Overview The Digital Content Specialist plays a key tactical role in supporting the day‑to‑day internal communications efforts for Lendmark Financial Services. This position is responsible for executing engaging, clear, and purpose‑driven content that informs and inspires employees, reinforces business priorities and values, and supports the company's overall communications strategy and brand. Serving as a hands‑on contributor within the Corporate Communications team, the Specialist partners closely with the Senior Manager, Internal Communications, to deliver timely, accurate, and compelling communications across employee channels. This role is ideal for a strong storyteller who enjoys translating information into meaningful content and thrives in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.
Responsibilities:
Content Creation & Storytelling Develop clear, engaging, and audience‑appropriate written content for internal channels, including intranet articles, emails, announcements, presentations, and campaign assets. Translate complex, business‑related information into accessible and compelling stories that resonate with employees and reinforce company values. Edit and proofread internal communications to ensure clarity, accuracy, consistency, and alignment with Lendmark's brand voice and style guidelines. Internal Channel Support & Publishing Support daily content execution and publishing on Lendmark's internal communications platform (Lendmark Engage / SharePoint), including formatting, tagging, and scheduling posts. Maintain content organization and hygiene across channels to ensure employees can easily find timely and relevant information. Coordinate with the Senior Manager, Internal Communications, to support content calendars and ensure consistent cadence across channels. Facilitate inbound and outbound communications for all internal communications channels, including the department mailbox and project request form, by serving as the "traffic coordinator." Employee Communications Support Draft and support employee‑facing communications on behalf of department stakeholders, including internal announcements, people news, change communications, and event materials, such as town halls or volunteer initiatives. Assist with the preparation of presentations, talking points, and supporting materials for meetings and internal events. Incorporate feedback thoughtfully and revise materials as needed to ensure clarity and effectiveness. Cross‑Functional Collaboration Partner with internal teams and subject‑matter experts to gather information, confirm details, and develop accurate internal content. Track requests and deadlines to ensure timely delivery of communications aligned with business priorities. Serve as a reliable point of contact for day‑to‑day internal communications needs across all business functions. Brand Alignment & Quality Control Apply Lendmark's brand voice, tone, and visual standards consistently across all internal communications. Ensure messaging supports broader corporate priorities and reinforces organizational values. Flag potential inconsistencies, gaps, or risks in messaging to the Senior Manager, Internal Communications. Measurement & Continuous Improvement Assist with tracking basic engagement metrics and content performance to inform future communications. Support reporting and insights related to internal content effectiveness and employee engagement. Contribute ideas for improving content formats, storytelling approaches, and employee communications practices.
BASIC REQUIREMENTS
Minimum of 3 years' experience in internal communications, corporate communications, journalism, public relations, or a related field Must have prior corporate communications experience working at a public/private company or a nonprofit organization Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail Proven experience creating content for employees or internal audiences at mid- to large-size companies with an employee population greater than 5,000. Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and stakeholders simultaneously Strong collaboration skills and comfort working across teams and functions Proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools; experience with SharePoint or intranet platforms preferred Passion for storytelling and producing engaging, employee‑focused content
PREFERRED EDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, public relations, or related discipline Familiarity with internal communications best practices and employee engagement principles Exposure to AI, analytics, content performance tracking, and/or communications measurement tools is a plus
NATURE & SCOPE
Hybrid Eligible - This position is based at the Lawrenceville, Georgia, corporate office and incorporates a mix of onsite and remote work.
Pay:
$30.00 - $33.00 per hour
