As the Field Marketing Manager, Strategic Events, you will lead the planning and execution of curated events designed to strengthen relationships with customers, prospects, partners, and influencers across North America. This role is responsible for creating and delivering high-touch experiences that support customer engagement, pipeline development, partner growth, and new business acquisition. Working closely with Sales, Performance Marketing, and Partner Marketing, you will plan, coordinate and manage events that bring the Sage brand to life while creating meaningful opportunities for relationship building and business growth. Success in this role requires a balance of strategic thinking, event management expertise, relationship-building skills, and flawless execution. You will serve as both the architect of the experience and a professional ambassador for Sage, ensuring every interaction reflects our values of Human, Trust, Bold, and Simplify. Location Requirement:

Hybrid 3 days per week from either our Atlanta office (Ponce City Market) or Austin office (405 Colorado St.)

Required Qualifications:
  • At least 5 years of experience in B2B software/tech event marketing, field marketing, experiential marketing, or customer events.
  • Demonstrated success planning and executing high-touch events for customers, prospects, partners, executives, or other targeted business audiences.
  • Strong relationship-building, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage confidently and professionally with senior leaders and external
  • audiences.
  • Exceptional project management, organizational, budget management, and vendor management capabilities.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to align event strategies to pipeline development, customer engagement, and revenue objectives.
  • Highly professional, detail-oriented, and customer-focused, with the emotional intelligence and adaptability required to create exceptional attendee experiences.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a global, cross-functional environment.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 33% of year within US and Canada.
Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Event Programs

  • Develop and execute a portfolio of customer, prospect, partner, and executive events that support pipeline creation, customer engagement, partner growth, and revenue objectives.
  • Partner closely with Sales, Performance Marketing, Partner Marketing, and business leaders to identify target audiences, define event objectives, and create experiences aligned to strategic business priorities.
  • Design and manage the end-to-end attendee experience, including venue selection, hospitality, communications, logistics, onsite execution, and post-event follow-up, ensuring every event delivers a seamless and memorable experience.
  • Serve as a visible Sage representative, building relationships with attendees and fostering professional, engaging, and meaningful interactions that strengthen affinity with the Sage brand.
  • Evaluate program effectiveness through attendee feedback, engagement metrics, and business outcomes, continuously recommending improvements that enhance the attendee experience and maximize return on investment. Event Operations & Program Management
  • Manage all aspects of event delivery, including budgets, contracts, vendors, registrations, communications, travel logistics, executive briefings, staff guides, onsite operations, and event reconciliation.
  • Coordinate internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure events are executed on time, within budget, and aligned with Sage brand standards and business objectives.
  • Establish scalable event processes, governance, and best practices that improve operational efficiency while maintaining a highly personalized attendee experience.
  • Manage event-related suppliers, venues, agencies, and strategic partners to ensure exceptional service delivery and successful event outcomes. Trade Shows & Industry Events
  • Support Sage's participation in selected trade shows, partner events, and industry conferences, including sponsorship activation, booth logistics, lead management, and onsite execution.
  • Coordinate hosted experiences associated with broader event programs, including executive dinners, customer receptions, VIP experiences, and prospect engagement activities.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to align event objectives, attendee engagement strategies, staffing plans, and follow-up activities with broader marketing and sales goals.
  • Provide recommendations to optimize event investments, audience engagement, and overall program effectiveness based on performance insights and marketplace trends. Benefits? We have plenty.
