Marketing & Content Manager First State Brewing Company (Middletown & Rehoboth Beach, Delaware) First State Brewing Company is looking for a Marketing & Content Manager to lead hands-on marketing across our brewery, restaurant, event, digital, and community channels. This is a great role for a creative, organized, hospitality-minded marketer who can write strong copy, create compelling photo/video content, manage marketing channels, coordinate with internal teams, and turn ideas into well-executed campaigns. You'll help bring our beer, food, cocktails, events, locations, people, and brand stories to life across social media, email/SMS, website content, events, local discovery, community outreach, paid digital campaigns, and in-location marketing. This is a hands-on role, with the opportunity to help shape marketing systems, resources, and future team structure as FSBC grows. This role requires someone who is able to adapt to varying workload and priorities while maintaining a professional demeanor and positive mindset.
What You'll Do:
Content & Storytelling- Write social captions, email/newsletter copy, website updates, event descriptions, product/menu language, paid ad copy, and campaign messaging.
- Capture and edit photo/video content across beer, food, cocktails, events, people, spaces, and hospitality moments.
- Help bring FSBC's products, locations, events, and guest experience to life through clear, engaging content.
- Support menu and product-content needs by turning stakeholder-provided details into clear, guest-friendly language. Channels & Campaigns
- Manage routine social media planning, publishing, engagement, monitoring, and performance review.
- Own email/SMS marketing planning, writing, sending, reporting, and recommendations.
- Support paid/digital advertising, including campaign coordination, monitoring, reporting, and optimization recommendations.
- Update routine website content and write SEO-aware copy for events, products, menus, locations, campaigns, and local discovery.
- Support Google Business Profile, local discovery, review/reputation visibility, and other customer-facing digital touchpoints. Events, Products & In-Location Marketing
- Coordinate marketing support for events, product launches, menus, promotions, community activations, and location-specific priorities.
- Help keep in-location marketing current, coordinated, and aligned with active campaigns, events, menus, product launches, and guest experience priorities.
- Support event promotion, product storytelling, community outreach, and location-specific marketing needs across both FSBC locations.
- Attend key events, launches, activations, and content moments as needed based on the marketing calendar. Collaboration & Organization
- Work closely with company leadership, Brand/Creative, Operations, Brewery, Kitchen, Taproom, Sales, vendors, partners, community contacts, and location stakeholders.
- Use company work-management tools to organize requests, timelines, approvals, follow-up, and marketing priorities.
- Help gather accurate information from stakeholders and turn business needs into finished marketing work.
- Review marketing performance, build reports from available tools, explain what the numbers mean, and recommend improvements.
What We're Looking For:
- 3+ years of hands-on marketing, content, social media, communications, digital marketing, hospitality marketing, or related experience.
- 1+ year of marketing management experience.
- Excellent writing, editing, proofreading, and copywriting skills.
- Strong photo and video content skills, including the ability to capture and edit polished, social-first content.
- Experience with paid/digital advertising, campaign monitoring, performance reporting, and optimization.
- Comfortable updating website content and writing SEO-aware copy.
- Working understanding of SEO, local discovery, Google Business Profile, and digital content performance.
- Ability to interpret marketing data, build reports from available tools, explain performance, and recommend next steps.
- Ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders and turn business needs into finished marketing work.
- Strong organization, communication, judgment, prioritization, discretion, and follow-through.
- Working knowledge of responsible alcohol marketing and age-appropriate public communication.
- Professional, collaborative, guest-focused, and comfortable working in an energetic brewery/restaurant environment.
- Reliable transportation and ability to travel regularly between locations.
Have:
- Brewery, beverage alcohol, hospitality, restaurant, food/beverage, retail, event, or local business marketing experience.
- Adobe Creative Suite experience.
- Monday.com or similar project-management/work-management experience.
- Experience with social scheduling tools, Meta Business Suite, Google Business Profile, Google Analytics, Mailchimp or similar email tools, Toast or hospitality platforms, website CMS platforms, and paid media platforms.
- Degree in marketing, communications, public relations, hospitality, business, or a related field preferred; equivalent hands-on experience will be considered.
