osition Overview Aces Fuel Injection is seeking an experienced Content Marketing Manager - Video & Creative Production to lead our U.S. content team while remaining actively involved in professional content creation.
This position is structured approximately:
50% Hands-On Creative Production 50% Team Leadership & Delivery Ownership This is not a traditional marketing manager position focused primarily on meetings, planning, or delegating creative work. The successful candidate must be an experienced content producer who can personally develop, film, edit, and deliver professional video content while also managing a small creative team and ensuring projects are completed on time and meet quality expectations. Video is the primary creative focus of this position. The role supports authentic customer and vehicle/build stories, persuasive product content, educational material, and consistent brand presentation. 50% - Hands-On Creative Production The Content Marketing Manager will remain an active creator and is expected to personally own complete projects from concept through final delivery.
Responsibilities include:
Develop customer, vehicle/build, installer, product, and educational stories Connect the customer, problem, product, and real-world experience into clear and engaging content Plan and conduct key video shoots Personally film interviews, products, vehicles, installations, demonstrations, and supporting footage Capture professional-quality video using appropriate camera, lighting, and audio techniques Personally edit important short-form advertisements, customer stories, product videos, and educational content Create effective openings, pacing, product evidence, and appropriate calls to action Adapt footage into meaningful creative variations for different marketing uses Contribute product and application photography Assist with scripts, captions, and supporting copy Work with technical specialists to ensure specifications, compatibility, and product claims are accurate Maintain current, hands-on ability in filming, editing, photography, interviewing, and storytelling The manager is expected to contribute finished creative work—not only briefs, review comments, or meetings. 50% - Team Leadership & Delivery Ownership The Content Marketing Manager will also lead the U.S. content team, initially including video, social media, and written-content roles.
Responsibilities include:
Establish priorities and realistic production commitments Assign ownership and deadlines for content projects Maintain a rolling four-week content schedule Ensure the manager's own production responsibilities are included in the schedule Define project purpose, due dates, acceptance criteria, and required resources Review footage and rough cuts early enough to prevent avoidable reshoots or rework Provide specific, actionable creative feedback Follow up to confirm requested improvements have been made Coach employees and help develop their skills Evaluate team workload, capacity, and production gaps Maintain appropriate backup coverage Make evidence-based staffing or development recommendations when appropriate Oversee the quality of written product education, manuals, blogs, organic social content, and U.S. brand presentation Coordinate content needs for approved automotive shows, customer visits, and creator partnerships Identify production risks before deadlines are missed Communicate solutions, impact, and recommendations when skill, capacity, equipment, technical review, or competing priorities affect delivery Direct production responsibilities do not replace the management portion of the role, and management responsibilities do not replace the manager's own creative contribution. Both are essential parts of the position. Collaboration This position works directly with company leadership, the U.S. content team, technical specialists, and additional marketing and e-commerce resources. The Content Marketing Manager is responsible for U.S. creative execution, original content, field resources, team capacity, quality, and delivery. The role will also collaborate with international marketing team members on creative direction, campaigns, testing, and other content needs while maintaining clear ownership of U.S. content production and team management. Required Qualifications Recent professional experience personally filming and editing video content Strong portfolio demonstrating complete video projects, including advertising, storytelling, product, or educational content Approximately 5+ years of relevant production experience , or equivalent demonstrated capability Previous experience directly managing a small creative or production team Experience assigning work, coaching employees, reviewing quality, and managing missed commitments Strong working knowledge of professional camera operation Strong knowledge of lighting and audio production Professional video-editing and post-production skills Ability to independently identify weak footage or edits and determine how they should be improved Strong visual storytelling and editorial judgment Understanding of commercial and product-focused content Ability to learn technical products and work with subject-matter experts Strong written and verbal professional communication skills Ability to establish realistic deadlines and communicate risks early Strong organizational and production-planning skills Ability to provide fair, evidence-based coaching and performance feedback A specific degree is not required . Demonstrated creative ability, production judgment, leadership experience, and quality of work are more important than a particular educational background. Leadership Experience This position requires team-management experience . The ideal candidate has experience directly managing approximately 2-5 employees , including: Work allocation Coaching and development Quality review Deadline management Workload planning Addressing missed commitments Providing constructive performance feedback Temporary coordination of a video shoot or project team alone is not considered equivalent to employee-management experience. Preferred Experience Experience producing content within one or more of the following areas is preferred: Automotive Motorsports Performance vehicles Automotive aftermarket products Technical products Tools or equipment Machinery Product demonstrations Installation or educational content Customer and testimonial storytelling Commercial or advertising production Portfolio Required Applicants should provide a portfolio or links demonstrating recent work they personally filmed and edited . I Initial Performance Expectations During the first 90 days, the Content Marketing Manager will be expected to: Begin producing high-quality content while learning Aces products, priorities, and approval processes Establish a reliable workflow that balances hands-on creative production and team leadership Provide clear direction, coaching, and quality review for the U.S. content team Improve production planning, reduce avoidable rework, and communicate capacity or delivery risks early Build consistent, accepted creative output and develop future content plans based on actual team capacity and business priorities Success will be measured by content quality, reliable delivery, creative usefulness, reduced rework, and overall team performance rather than solely by sales results or viral performance.
