Job Description

PURPOSE The Development & Marketing Director oversees the organization's fundraising, donor engagement, communications, and brand strategy efforts to advance Christian Service Center's mission and long-term sustainability. This position is responsible for developing and implementing integrated development and marketing strategies that increase revenue through donations and grants, strengthen partnerships, expand public awareness, and deepen community engagement.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Fundraising & Development Collaborate with the Executive Director to develop and execute annual fundraising strategies and campaigns to meet organizational revenue goals. Cultivate, solicit, and steward individual donors, corporate sponsors, foundations, and community partners. Maintain donor databases, track fundraising metrics, and report outcomes to executive leadership and the board. Manage processing of incoming mail including distribution to other departments and depositing donations with the bank (includes dual-control checks). Collaborate with the Executive Director on donor appreciation letters and mailouts. Plan and oversee fundraising events, donor appreciation initiatives, and special campaigns. Identify and pursue grant opportunities, and perform grant writing, reporting, and compliance activities. Ensure compliance with nonprofit fundraising regulations, ethical standards, and organizational policies. Marketing & Communications Develop and implement comprehensive marketing and communication plans that support organizational goals and increase visibility. Oversee brand identity and ensure consistency across all communications and outreach materials. Manage and update the organization's website and social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Constant Contact, and YouTube. Prepare and produce content creation for brochures, newsletters, social media, email campaigns, press releases, and website updates. Coordinate media relations with TV and radio stations and community outreach efforts to strengthen public engagement and awareness. Analyze marketing performance metrics and adjust strategies to improve reach and engagement. Lead storytelling initiatives that highlight organizational impact, programs, and community outcomes. Assist the Executive Director with special projects as needed.
REPORTING STRUCTURE
The Development & Marketing Director reports to the Executive Director.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS
Education & Experience High school education is required. Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, nonprofit management, business administration, public relations, or a related field is preferred. Minimum of two years' experience in fundraising, development, marketing, or communications is required. Demonstrated success in donor cultivation, grant management, and fundraising campaign execution is preferred. Experience managing marketing initiatives across digital and traditional platforms is preferred. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Strong written and verbal communication skills are required including public speaking. The ability to effectively listen to others and communicate with a variety of personalities across staff, volunteers, board members, donors, and partner agencies. Ability to build relationships with donors, sponsors, board members, and community partners is required. Knowledge of fundraising principles, donor stewardship practices, and nonprofit marketing strategies is preferred. Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook is required. Experience with Canva and social media tools is preferred. Experience with CRM and donor management systems is preferred. Proficiency in social media management, email marketing platforms, and basic marketing analytics is preferred. Strong organizational, project management, and multitasking abilities are required. Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage confidential information with discretion is required. Commitment to following organizational, safety, and confidentiality guidelines is required. Passion for Christian Service Center's faith-driven mission and dedication to serving others with compassion and purpose is required. Working Conditions This position is full-time with approximately 40 hours per week. The general schedule is Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm and 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required for events and community engagement activities. Local travel may be required for meetings, events, and donor visits.

From $50,000.00 per year
