Role:
CBRE manages property for some of the largest institutional owners in the country. Strategic Portfolio Management is a new division at CBRE built on a straightforward premise: these clients deserve a senior leader who understands their portfolio strategy as well as their own asset management team does, and who can ensure CBRE delivers against it. You will carry three to four national institutional accounts, estimated at more than 30 million square feet, that may span one or more of the following asset types: office, logistics, and/or retail. You will sit across from the client's executive leadership as an advisor and partner, not as a vendor or 3rd party. Inside CBRE, you will align operations, accounting, leasing, technology, and market leadership around what the client is trying to accomplish with their portfolio. The role exists because portfolio strategy and property management execution too often run on separate tracks. You connect them. You know each client's portfolio strategy well enough to anticipate their next move. Their satisfaction scores show a relationship that improved on your watch. Governance runs on a rhythm both sides value rather than tolerate. And the business grows, because growth follows trust.
What You'll Do:
The executive relationship . You are the person the client's C-Suite, President, Head of RE or Head of Portfolio/Asset Management calls first, on the good news and the bad. Translation of strategy into delivery . You know where value gets created and diluted in an institutional portfolio. You read the client's plan to understand their investment and portfolio strategy, translate the plan into property level priorities, and align CBRE's operating teams around the actions that protect and create value for the client. Governance and business planning . You set the cadence, run the reviews, and hold both organizations accountable to what they agreed. Portfolio insight . You bring the client's point of view. You connect operating performance, market intelligence, and portfolio data to identify patterns, opportunities and trends that may not be visible at the individual asset level. Proactive Risk Management . Service failures, staffing gaps, and financial problems reach you before they reach the client. You maintain a forward view of potential portfolio, operating, and relationship risk. You identify issues before they become escalations and mobilize the right people to resolve them. Growth . Portfolio size, fee revenue, and client satisfaction, measured year over year. You identify opportunities to deepen and expand the client relationship.
