Job Description
Overview Cosmic Sports, based in Petersburg VA, combines competitive sports and sports entertainment to present a unique fan engagement experience offered by no other sports organization. The organization features Cosmic Baseball, and Cosmic Hockey. Summary/Objective Want an opportunity to work in the fastest growing company in sports entertainment? Cosmic Sports is known for high-energy games, strong community presence, and innovative fan experiences. The Marketing Manager main responsibilities are to manage and execute marketing campaigns for Cosmic Baseball and Hockey, as well as partnering with host stadiums and areas marketing teams. The successful candidate will bring a blend of skills for project management, creative innovation, and being a collaborative team player that enjoys the challenges and enjoys working in a dynamic and growing organization. Essential Functions Marketing Design & Strategy Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies and campaigns to drive brand awareness, audience growth, and revenue. Lead the planning and execution of digital, social media, email, advertising, and promotional campaigns. Manage marketing calendars, campaign timelines, budgets, and project priorities. Develop creative briefs and collaborate with internal teams and external agencies, vendors, and partners. Partner with host stadiums and arena to coordinate marketing strategies Support ticket sales, sponsorship, partnerships, events, product launches, or other key revenue initiatives. Manage content development, including copy, creative assets, social media, and promotional materials. Marketing Execution Execute the marketing strategy through various channels that would include but not be limited to SMS, email, social media, Meta, influencers website, TV, and radio Management of campaign structure, messaging, segmentation, scheduling, and deployment Develop and implement advanced audience segmentation and targeting strategies to improve engagement, conversion, and retention across diverse fan cohorts Analyze campaign performance and translate data into actionable insights, continuously refining strategy through A/B testing, experimentation, and performance optimization Required Experience and Qualifications Minimum of 2-5 years of proven experience preferred Previous experience using MailChimp Ability to handle multiple tasks at once, and prioritize results Strong analytical skills Excellent communication skills, both oral and written Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment Ability to work independently and self-motivate Strong time management and organizational skills Ability to work in an innovative, fast-paced environment Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Work Environment This job operates in an office setting as well as baseball stadiums across the country as part of the Cosmic Takeover Tour. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close and focused vision. This is a largely sedentary role. Position Type and Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including; extended hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Travel Travel will be expected in this role as the Cosmic Takeover Tour.
