Corporate Director of Marketing & Admissions Position Summary The Director of Admissions & Marketing is responsible for leading all admissions, business development, marketing, and community outreach efforts for the community. This individual oversees the admissions process from referral through move-in while developing strong relationships with hospitals, physicians, referral sources, residents, families, and community partners. Working collaboratively with the Building Administrator and the Corporate Director of Marketing & Admissions, the Director is responsible for driving census growth, maintaining an optimal payer mix, and positioning the campus as the provider of choice within the community. Essential Responsibilities Admissions Management Manage the admissions process from referral through admission. Receive and review all referrals and coordinate timely clinical and financial reviews with an expected 15-minute referral response whenever possible. Verify insurance benefits, authorizations, and payer eligibility. Communicate with hospitals, physicians, referral sources, residents, and families throughout the admissions process. Schedule and conduct tours for prospective residents and families. Complete admission agreements and all required admission documentation. Enter resident information into PointClickCare (PCC). Coordinate admissions with nursing, therapy, social services, environmental services, dietary, housekeeping, and maintenance. Ensure resident rooms are clean, furnished, fully prepared, and admission-ready prior to every admission. Welcome residents and families and ensure a seamless admission experience from referral through move-in. Maintain accurate referral tracking and follow up on pending referrals. Business Development & Relationship Management Develop and maintain strong relationships with hospitals, discharge planners, case managers, social workers, physicians, hospitalists, specialists, home health agencies, hospice providers, senior centers, adult day programs, assisted living communities, independent living communities, and other referral partners. Conduct routine hospital, physician, and community outreach visits to strengthen referral relationships. Notify local primary care physicians when their patients are admitted to the facility. Assist with physician credentialing opportunities when appropriate. Identify new referral sources, strategic partnerships, and opportunities to grow census and market share. Work with the Corporate Director of Marketing & Admissions to identify community needs and recommend new clinical programs and services. Marketing & Community Outreach Develop and implement marketing strategies that increase occupancy and community awareness for the entire campus , including Skilled Nursing, Sub-Acute Rehabilitation (SAR), and Assisted Living . Collaborate with the Assisted Living leadership team to plan and execute joint marketing initiatives, community outreach, open houses, educational programs, and campus-wide events. Plan and coordinate community events, health fairs, physician outreach, networking opportunities, and educational seminars that showcase the full continuum of care. Build relationships with physicians, local businesses, senior organizations, community groups, and healthcare providers throughout the market. Represent Continuum Healthcare at community events and serve as a positive ambassador for the organization. Submit community events, resident success stories, photographs, and marketing highlights to the Corporate Director of Marketing & Admissions and the Corporate Social Media Manager. Census Development Work closely with the Building Administrator and Corporate Director of Marketing & Admissions to achieve and maintain occupancy goals and a strong payer mix. Monitor referral activity, conversion rates, lost referrals, and census trends. Develop action plans to increase occupancy and improve referral conversion. Support occupancy growth across Skilled Nursing, Sub-Acute Rehabilitation, and Assisted Living. Leadership & Reporting Prepare and submit all required monthly admissions, marketing, census, referral, outreach, and business development reports to the Corporate Director of Marketing & Admissions. Participate in leadership meetings and collaborate with department heads to ensure successful admissions and customer satisfaction. Maintain compliance with all company policies, HIPAA regulations, and federal and state requirements. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications Minimum of two (2) years of experience in healthcare admissions, marketing, business development, sales, or a related healthcare field; long-term care, skilled nursing, assisted living, or post-acute care experience preferred. Working knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, Managed Care, commercial insurance, and the admissions process. Experience with PointClickCare (PCC) preferred. Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with hospitals, physicians, discharge planners, case managers, and community referral sources. Excellent customer service, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Strong problem-solving, time management, and follow-up abilities. Proficient in Microsoft Office and other business software applications. Valid driver's license with reliable transportation. Performance Expectations Performance will be measured by: Occupancy and census growth across the campus. Strong Medicare, Managed Care, and overall payer mix. Timely referral response and referral conversion rates. Growth and retention of hospital, physician, and community referral relationships. Successful planning and execution of marketing events and community outreach initiatives. Outstanding customer service and resident/family satisfaction. Timely submission of required reports and accurate admissions documentation.
