We are expanding our roster of experienced, dependable and hands-on production crew members for flexible on-call opportunities. This is not a traditional full-time position. Position Overview The Event Installation & Production Crew supports the physical execution of our events from warehouse preparation through onsite installation and breakdown. This is a hands-on, fast-paced position. Some onsite installation windows may be as short as 1-2 hours , so applicants must already be comfortable working quickly and efficiently in event, production, rental, staging or similar physical environments. Previous relevant hands-on experience is required. We are willing to teach The Simple Luxe's specific installation systems, vinyl techniques, inventory procedures and company standards, but we do not have the capacity to provide foundational event-production training. Responsibilities May Include Setting up and breaking down private events, corporate events and brand activations Loading and unloading trucks, vans and event inventory Pulling, organizing and preparing inventory Installing backdrops, props, signage and décor Assembling event structures onsite Moving and positioning furniture, décor and equipment Applying vinyl lettering, logos and graphics Measuring and positioning signage Warehouse organization and event preparation Packing and returning inventory after events Delivery and transportation assistance Assisting fabrication, décor and styling teams onsite Troubleshooting installation issues Completing other production-related tasks needed to successfully execute the project Required Experience Applicants must already have hands-on experience in at least one relevant area, such as: Event production Stagehand work Event rentals Event setup and breakdown Live production Scenic installation Warehouse/material handling Construction Loading and unloading Production assistance Similar fast-paced physical production work Core Crew Expectations Everyone on our team has different strengths, but no one works in a silo. All crew members must be willing to: Work onsite at events throughout Southern California Work efficiently during fast-paced 1-2 hour installation windows Assist with setup and breakdown Load and unload event materials Learn and perform basic vinyl application Follow installation plans and direction from project leads Learn new production and installation techniques Assist outside of their primary specialty when reasonably needed Maintain a team-first, solutions-oriented attitude Remain engaged throughout the assignment Help complete each project safely, efficiently and to The Simple Luxe standards Qualifications Previous relevant hands-on experience required Dependable, punctual and responsive Comfortable working in fast-paced environments Comfortable with physical, hands-on work Able to lift and carry up to approximately 50 pounds when required Able to stand, bend, carry and move throughout installations Strong attention to detail Able to take direction and work as part of a team Reliable transportation to our Norwalk workspace and event locations Flexible weekday, evening and weekend availability Cargo van or larger vehicle driving experience is a plus Compensation $20.00-$25.00 per hour, based on experience, skill level and assignment responsibilities.
