You'll create and run the content that keeps Nest worth visiting. That means stories, tips, webinars and conversations that help independent grocers learn from each other and celebrate shopping local. This role is for someone who genuinely loves independent grocers, local food, and the people behind them. You'll be the voice of Nest and its day-to-day host.

Canary Retail helps independent grocery stores run their business better, with tools for inventory, costs, and store operations. Nest is where those grocers connect. They share what's working, trade ideas, and build a stronger local grocery community together. Requirements/Responsibilities 1. Create content Plan and run an ongoing content calendar for Nest, with fresh, useful posts every week. Write, photograph, and film stories about independent grocers, including store spotlights, owner profiles, and behind-the-scenes looks at how great local stores operate. Produce practical content on merchandising, local sourcing, seasonal trends, pricing, and running a store, using Canary Retail where it fits. Create short-form video and social content that drives grocers into Nest. Interview store owners, local producers, and industry experts, and turn those conversations into articles, videos, and discussion threads. 2. Build and manage the community Host Nest day to day: start conversations, answer questions, welcome new members, and keep discussions friendly and on topic. Run recurring community programs such as themed weeks, member challenges, Q&As, and virtual events. Get busy store owners to participate by making it easy and rewarding to share their stories. Moderate content and enforce community guidelines. Visit independent grocers around Atlanta to gather stories and build relationships. 3. Measure and improve Track engagement, membership growth, and content performance, and report results monthly. Use what the data shows to keep improving what you publish. Share community feedback and product insights with the Canary Retail product and customer teams. Required 2+ years creating content professionally, in writing, social media, video, or a mix of these. A portfolio that shows consistent, engaging content you created yourself. A real passion for shopping local, independent grocers, and food. You already know your favorite neighborhood markets and why they matter. Experience growing or managing an online community, social following, or audience. Strong writing and storytelling skills, and comfort interviewing people. Organized and self-directed, with the habit of publishing on schedule. Comfortable with basic photo and video editing tools such as Canva, CapCut, or Adobe Express. Preferred Background in food, grocery, retail, hospitality, or local business. Experience with community platforms such as Circle, Discord, Mighty Networks, or Facebook Groups. Experience with analytics tools and using data to guide content. Connections to Atlanta's local food and grocery scene. Experience with B2B audiences or small business owners.
