Job Description

Dickey Farms has been growing peaches in middle Georgia for over 125 years. Our peaches are sold all across the U.S. through grocery chains, at our retail market here in Musella, Ga. and online; shipped directly to customer's doorsteps. To support our continued growth in marketing, we are looking for an individual to join our team. The Marketing Specialist will take the lead on website sales, marketing strategy, and content creation. The Marketing Specialist's specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Marketing Specialist duties and responsibilities
  • Drive the execution of all site management, including email, promotions, and site experience strategies, to ensure the best customer shopping experience.
  • Website management and updates for seasonal products/promotions, online forms, and blog posts.
  • Daily support of overall web store including product additions, photography, edits, and inventory.
  • Coordinate with external web development firm on overall site designs, needed permissive accesses across platforms, and technology updates.
  • Creation and execution of all signage for the packinghouse and field locations.
  • Create content that is on-brand and post to our social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok), including retail content, product highlights, event promotions, and engaging videos.
  • Plan and promote events throughout the year, including coordinating with vendors, scheduling day-of timelines, promotion across social media/website/advertising, and day-of content capturing.
  • Conduct market research to identify customer trends, competitor offerings and demographic data.
  • Liaise with Management team to come up with branding ideas, graphic designs, seasonally featured products, promotional materials, and advertising copies.
  • Create and publish advertisements for the farm across multiple magazines and newsletters.
  • Design and publish monthly email update newsletters, event promotions, and product announcement emails to our customer contact list.
  • Discover effective marketing and promotional channels, including media platforms to be used to relay product messages to customers.
  • Investigate the performance of the company's marketing campaigns and strategies through evaluating key performance metrics.
  • Create innovative marketing campaigns depending on robust data and present the recommendations to management.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with new and existing customers through networking and prospecting.
  • Create goals and objectives in order to approach customers through appropriate marketing channels.
  • Help in outbound and inbound marketing activities by displaying expertise in certain areas such as events planning, advertising, optimization and content development. Skills and qualifications
  • Effective writing, speaking, presenting and active listening skills
  • Good interpersonal skills, including the ability to collaborate with management, team members, clients and customers where applicable
  • Familiarity with content management systems, web page analytics, customer relationship management and other relevant software
  • Data analysis, critical thinking, problem-solving and decision-making
  • Understanding of industry best practices
  • Creativity, adaptability and familiar with current marketing trends
  • Project management skills, like goal-setting and deadline management
  • Great organization, time management and prioritization abilities
  • Comfortable in high-pressure and fast-paced environments
  • Highly efficient in MS Word, MS Excel, PowerPoint
  • Possess excellent verbal and writing skills
  • Highly organized and able to multi-task
  • Self-motivated and highly driven to succeed
