Job Description

The ideal candidate would be located near our Jasper, IN headquarters and work primarily from this location.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a creative and motivated Marketing Intern to join our team for a summer internship supporting our Workplace, Health, and Hospitality Brands (
Kimball International:
Workplace & Health and Kimball Hospitality). This position is designed for college-level students who have a passion for marketing and branding. The intern will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in marketing strategies, campaign planning, communications, and implementation contributing to the enhancement of our brand presence.
Responsibilities:
Hospitality Brand FocusAssist with marketing campaigns and projects: generate engaging content (graphics, photos, etc) for variety of outputs including but not limited to social media, website, literature, and other promotional materials relatedSupport showroom staging and hospitality toursContribute to social media: work closely with the marketing team to create innovative ideas, content creation, scheduling, and engagement strategies that align with our brand's messaging and target audience to improve metricsConduct market research: gather market data on industry trends in interior design and the hospitality industry, as well as competitors' activities to identify potential opportunities or areas of improvement.

Maintain project documentation: keep track of project progress by maintaining records as projects progress during the internship periodWorkplace & Health Brand FocusAssist with marketing campaigns tailored to the workplace and health sectors Contribute to social media: work closely with the marketing team to create innovative ideas, content creation, scheduling, and engagement strategies that align with our brand's messaging and target audience to improve metricsConvert images for web optimization: work with the brand digital team to resize and convert images according to outlined planReview brand standards and resources: work with the brand team to identify and update existing product resources to align and adhere to brand standardsFacilitate case studies: work with brand team to complete case study projects including communication, story development, wireframing, and deployment Assist with website support: work with the digital marketing team on SEO, analytics, reporting, and other optimization efforts such as filters and search functionsMaintain project documentation: keep track of project progress by maintaining records as projects progress during the internship period
Requirements:
Currently enrolled in a college-level program related to marketing (or relevant field)Strong creativity and organizational skills with an eye for detail Proficiency in Adobe and Canva programs are helpfulExcellent written and verbal communication skillsFamiliarity with social media platforms (Instagram, Pinterest etc.) and their best practices is desirableAbility to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environmentStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneouslyThis internship offers an excellent opportunity for students interested in gaining practical experience within marketing while working alongside experienced professionals in a supportive environment.
