COMMUNICATIONS & MARKETING ADMINISTRATOR
, Materials Research Laboratory , implements communications and marketing initiatives that promote MRL programs, partnerships, and research impact; and develops and refines messaging for diverse audiences, translating complex scientific and technical concepts into accessible content. Responsibilities include writing, editing, and producing materials for web, newsletters, print, and digital platforms; maintaining and improving website content and user experience; and supporting social media and digital engagement. Coordinates production of communications materials collaborates with vendors and stakeholders, and supports outreach to ensure consistent messaging and branding; contributes to event promotion and communications, develops press materials, and coordinates with institutional communications offices on media opportunities; supports community engagement initiatives and expands audience reach across platforms; uses analytics to evaluate engagement and improve communications strategies; and may guide student assistants and oversee workflows. Working under general direction, exercises independent judgment in content development, channel selection, and project execution, aligning with program priorities and stakeholder input. : Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, journalism, or related field; a minimum of five years of relevant experience; strong writing, editing, and content production skills; experience managing projects and digital content; strong organizational and interpersonal skills; ability to translate complex information; ability to work independently and collaboratively; experience coordinating with vendors; discretion with confidential information; and willingness for occasional evening/weekend work.PREFERRED
