Job Description

Mortgage Operations Intern The Consumers Credit Union team is looking to hire a passionate Mortgage Operations Intern to join our team at our corporate office in Kalamazoo. This position offers valuable hands-on experience in the mortgage industry while supporting our operations department with essential tasks and processes. Our ideal candidate has a great attitude, is genuine and passionate. You are purposeful and like to be the solution, but more importantly, you are a servant leader.
What you will do:
Support the Set Up, Processing and Closing teams with daily operational tasks Assist with Verification of Employment (VOE) and Verbal Verification of Employment (VVOE) processes. Help manage Homeowner's Insurance (HOI) documentation. Perform eFolder cleanup and organization. Process payoff requests and documentation. Assist with document management including scanning, shredding, and copying. Support the team with title order processing. Work with internal systems such as LARA and BS&A. Review Desktop Underwriting (DU) findings. What you'll bring to the table: College junior or equivalent. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Interest in learning about mortgage operations and processes. Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information. Technology Proficiency - Knowledge of current technology, with the ability to easily navigate multiple software applications. Also, the desire to learn and use new technology. Detail-Oriented Efficiency - Fast-paced work ethic while maintaining strong attention to detail and organization. People-Focused - Natural ability to connect with others and thrive in collaborative environments.
