Join our team as a Category Analyst at our office in Hopkins, MN! You'll utilize syndicated sales and shopper data to uncover insights that support brand and category growth. Partnering with internal teams, this role evaluates pricing, promotion, assortment, and shelving data to inform customer and internal strategies. This position is ideal for analytical, curious problem-solvers looking to build commercial expertise and grow into broader category, marketing, or sales roles.
What You Will Do:
Support the development of customer-facing materials by providing the right data inputs, visuals, and templates—that will drive change within assigned retailers Develop reports that drive category insights using syndicated data (e.g., Nielsen, IRI/Circana) Interpret category and shopper data to support customer and brand strategies Maintains a pulse on market trends, shopper behavior, and competitive activity to support proactive recommendations Analyze pricing, promotion, assortment, and shelving impacts to category and brand performance Collaborate cross functionally on key category growth initiatives Maintain category data and reporting tools
What We Look For:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field
Years of Related Experience:
1-3 years of experience in CPG or related analytics role
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Experience with syndicated data tools (Nielsen, Circana/IRI). Strong analytical and storytelling skills. Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint. Attention to detail and data accuracy. Self-Starter demonstrating curiosity to dig a level deeper to understand root cause of problems. Ability to translate insights into recommendations.
What We Offer:
The base salary range for this position is $60,000 to $99,000 annually, with eligibility for a 10% annual incentive bonus based on organizational performance. The range reflects factors such as experience, skills, education, certifications, and location, and starting salary may fall anywhere within the stated range. Beyond base salary, we offer a competitive Total Rewards package designed to support your overall well-being, including comprehensive health benefits, time off programs, and retirement and financial offerings.
