About the Role
The Marketing & Communications Specialist helps tell The Village's story through social media, digital content, marketing campaigns, and community outreach.
One day you might be creating social media content for Mental Health Awareness Month. The next, you could be promoting Giving Hearts Day, developing a video story, updating website content, or supporting a campaign for one of our behavioral health programs. If you enjoy variety, creativity, and meaningful work, this role offers all three.
What You'll Do
Create content for social media, blogs, videos, graphics, presentations, and marketing materials.
Lead The Village's social media strategy, including content planning, creation, scheduling, engagement, and analytics.
Develop creative strategies to grow audience reach, engagement, and awareness of The Village's services and mission.
Support website updates, SEO efforts, and management of online listings.
Assist with marketing campaigns, special events, and fundraising initiatives.
Monitor marketing trends, tools, and best practices.
Uphold The Village's values, strategic priorities, and brand standards.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
What You'll Bring
Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, public relations, journalism, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Two to five years of professional marketing or communications experience.
Experience managing social media and creating content across multiple platforms.
Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
Experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar design tools.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects.
Photography, videography, graphic design, and video editing experience are a plus.
