The position develops targeted communications, audience segmentation strategies, multimedia content, and data-driven marketing campaigns that increase participation, awareness, and engagement across HGAR's diverse member audiences. Working collaboratively with the Chief Marketing Officer, the Marketing & Communications team, and department leaders, the Digital Marketing Specialist helps shape and implement the Association's digital marketing strategy while supporting education, advocacy, membership, events, commercial services, the Foundation, and other strategic initiatives. The position serves as an internal resource on digital marketing best practices, audience engagement, content strategy, and emerging technologies, bringing forward ideas and recommendations that strengthen HGAR's digital presence. The Digital Marketing Specialist applies sound marketing judgment, creativity, and analytical thinking to evaluate campaign performance, identify emerging trends, recommend new opportunities, and produce compelling digital content that supports the Association's strategic goals and enhances the member experience. Duties Email Marketing, Audience Segmentation & Campaign Management- Collaborate with the Chief Marketing Officer to develop and execute integrated email marketing campaigns supporting HGAR initiatives.
- Develop audience segmentation strategies and personalized member communications.
- Monitor email analytics and recommend improvements to increase engagement and conversions.
- Maintain digital marketing calendars and campaign schedules. Digital Strategy & Engagement
- Collaborate with the Chief Marketing Officer to develop and execute HGAR's social media strategy.
- Collaborate across departments to develop integrated marketing campaigns and create platform-specific content that supports organizational priorities and member engagement.
- Create content for email, website, social media, and landing pages and maintain a digital calendar.
- Monitor real estate, association, AI, technology, and digital marketing trends to identify timely content opportunities.
- Grow audience engagement and recommend new tools, platforms, and best practices.
- Monitor campaign performance and prepare reports with actionable recommendations. Video Production & Multimedia Content
- Capture video and photography at Association events.
- Produce and edit short-form videos, interviews, reels, and promotional content.
- Repurpose content across email, websites, and social media.
- Maintain HGAR's digital media library. Additional Responsibilities
- Participate in departmental and Association meetings.
- Attend Association events as needed to support website updates and communications initiatives.
- Collaborate with external website vendors and technology partners.
- Act as a committee liaison as requested by CEO.
- Complete special projects as assigned.
- Perform other duties as assigned. Experience Education Required
- Associate or bachelor's degree in communications, Marketing, Digital Media, Information Systems, Web Design, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. Preferred
- Coursework or certifications in social media, content management systems (CMS), digital communications, UX, or web accessibility. Experience Required
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Marketing, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum five years of progressively responsible experience in digital marketing, integrated marketing, social media, and email marketing.
- Demonstrated experience developing digital marketing strategies and using analytics to improve campaign performance. Preferred
- Experience working within a trade association, nonprofit, membership organization, or professional services environment.
- Experience with membership databases, CRM systems, Rapattoni, Membio, or similar association management platforms.
- Experience coordinating with website vendors or software providers. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Strong strategic marketing and campaign planning skills.
- Excellent writing, editing, storytelling, and communication skills.
- Video production and multimedia editing experience.
- Knowledge of audience segmentation, marketing automation, SEO, and analytics.
- Experience with Constant Contact, Canva, Google Analytics, Meta Business Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, and AI-powered marketing tools.
- Ability to anticipate trends and translate insights into marketing initiatives.
- Strong collaboration, organization, and project management skills.
