Equal Opportunity Employer Overview The Marketing Co-op must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines for proposal submitting tasks and independently manage a challenging workload while adapting to changing priorities and deadlines. The individual will support communications, proposal development, and business development activities and may assist with coordinating projects across multiple areas. Responsibilities may include assisting with governmental agency marketing publications, community and neighborhood outreach events, and communications with news media, including print, radio, television, and social media. The Marketing Co-op will also work closely with leadership and technical staff to support proposal development, presentations, interviews, and other business development initiatives.Minimum Requirements:
Junior, Senior or Graduate student pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in related field (business, marketing, engineering, etc.) Excellent communication and time management skills Ability to work closely with leadership to verify pursuits are well coordinated General understanding of marketing and communication concepts High level of integrity and professionalism Ability to work in a team environment Ability to work independently Professionalism in all aspects of marketing, proposal development, and business development Ability to meet multiple deadlines Strong Public speaking and presentation skills Ability to delegate tasks Ability to write sections for proposals or serve as volume leader Ability to update web page and manage social media Assist or coach technical staff for presentations and interviews Proficient in Microsoft Office, InDesign, Deltek Vision Database, and other marketing software Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test Once hired, the intern receives direct oral and written supervision from the company President and our assigned GSI supervisor. Monthly, weekly and daily tasks are assigned to monitor progress. It is anticipated that the intern will work approximately 15-20 hours per week during the semester with the potential for increased hours during summer months. Office hours are Monday- Friday 8am-5pm. Intern will meet with company president and supervisor regularly to develop weekly schedule.Pay:
