Job Description
Overview RoviSys is seeking to add dedicated market development capacity for the Industrial IT & Cybersecurity business. The current need is focused less on traditional quota-carrying sales and more on strengthening market presence, improving customer-facing content, coordinating industry engagement, conducting voice of customer research, and creating scalable processes that help the business grow faster. This role will help our BIIT leadership and technical teams spend more time in high-value customer and solution discussions while ensuring market outreach, event strategy, research, and messaging are consistently managed. Responsibilities Market Development, Marketing, and Brand Awareness Develop and maintain customer-facing presentations, service overviews, capability summaries, case studies, success stories, and thought leadership content. Support website content updates, social media planning, digital marketing initiatives, and external messaging related to Industrial IT and Cybersecurity. Work with technical subject matter experts to convert complex technical topics into clear business-focused messaging. Help define and improve capability positioning for target industries, customer segments, and service offerings. Create reusable content that supports customer conversations, internal alignment, marketing campaigns, and executive-level communications. Voice of Customer and Market Intelligence Conduct research on customer needs, industry trends, competitor activity, technology adoption, regulatory drivers, and emerging market opportunities. Develop and maintain a structured voice of customer process to capture feedback from customer conversations, events, account teams, and technical engagements. Research target accounts, industry segments, and growth markets to support business planning and outreach. Summarize market findings into practical recommendations for leadership and technical teams. Track themes related to Industrial IT, OT networks, cybersecurity, infrastructure modernization, data centers, cloud, digital transformation, and related technologies. Conferences, Events, and Industry Engagement Identify conferences, trade shows, industry associations, webinars, partner events, customer forums, and networking opportunities aligned with Industrial IT & Cybersecurity growth priorities. Evaluate event participation options, including attendance, sponsorship, exhibiting, speaking opportunities, and customer meeting potential. Coordinate event planning, registrations, sponsorship details, logistics, customer invitations, presentation materials, booth or tabletop needs, and follow-up activities. Maintain an industry engagement calendar and help leadership prioritize where to participate. Capture lessons learned from events and recommend improvements to future participation. Customer Presentation and Sales Enablement Support Prepare customer meeting materials, presentation decks, one-page summaries, service positioning materials, and follow-up content. Support account teams and leaders with pre-meeting research, stakeholder research, and customer-specific messaging. Coordinate with technical SMEs, consultants, partners, and other internal resources to assemble the right support for customer conversations. Participate in selected customer or partner discussions to capture feedback, document follow-up items, and identify useful market signals. Help route potential opportunity signals to the appropriate business leaders, account teams, or technical resources. Qualifications Required Qualifications 5+ years of experience in B2B marketing, market development, business development support, customer engagement, technical sales enablement, consulting, or a related commercial function. Strong written communication skills with demonstrated ability to create business-facing content, presentations, summaries, and messaging. Experience developing or coordinating marketing content, website content, social media activity, customer presentations, campaigns, events, or industry outreach. Ability to understand technical concepts well enough to communicate business value clearly to non-technical and technical audiences. Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple initiatives, events, content requests, and research activities simultaneously. Comfortable working with executives, account teams, engineers, consultants, partners, and customers. Demonstrated initiative, follow-through, curiosity, and ability to move work forward without needing every step defined. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Engineering, Technology, Industrial Management, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. Additional education or certifications related to marketing, business development, technology, cybersecurity, industrial operations, or communications. Experience in industrial technology, manufacturing, life sciences, energy, utilities, critical infrastructure, automation, cybersecurity, infrastructure, software, engineering services, or consulting. Experience supporting technical or engineering-led organizations. Familiarity with LinkedIn, website content management, CRM systems, marketing analytics, campaign tracking, and digital marketing tools. Experience coordinating conferences, trade shows, customer events, webinars, sponsorships, or partner engagement programs. Experience conducting market research, competitive research, voice of customer research, or customer journey analysis. Ability to create executive-level presentations and summarize technical topics in a concise, customer-relevant manner.
