In this position... We are seeking a versatile and highly motivated Consumer Marketing Automation Specialist to join our Customer Relationship Management Marketing. In this hybrid role, you will act as both a Solutions Consultant and a Technical Lead, bridging the gap between complex business requirements and technical execution. You will be responsible for leading requirement-gathering efforts, translating business needs into actionable technical specifications, and hands-on development of automated, multi-channel customer journeys. Requirement Gathering & Solution Design:
Lead intake and discovery sessions between the SFMC team and various business units. Translate complex business needs into technical design documentation and architectural blueprints.
SFMC Development & Implementation:
Design, build, and test sophisticated multi-channel journeys. Write and maintain custom code using AMP script, Server-Side JavaScript (SSJS), and optimized SQL to support dynamic content and high-volume data segmentation.
Integration & Data Management:
Configure and manage Marketing Cloud Connect (MCC) for seamless integration with Salesforce CRM. Utilize
REST/SOAP
APIs to trigger real-time communications from external Ford systems.
Technical Subject Matter Expertise:
Serve as the primary SME for Mobile Push and Einstein AI features (e.g. Engagement Scoring/STO). Advise stakeholders on strategy, implementation, and troubleshooting for real-time personalization.
Agile Delivery & DevOps:
Manage the end-to-end delivery lifecycle within an Agile framework. Utilize Package Manager and deployment best practices to migrate assets across Business Units.
Preference & Compliance Management:
Develop and maintain custom Preference Centers using Cloud Pages to ensure brand compliance and data integrity across multiple data extensions.
Innovation & Best Practices:
Stay current on Salesforce releases (including Data Cloud/CDP developments) and industry trends to drive continuous improvement within the CRM ecosystem. Qualifications You'll have...
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
Core Technical Proficiency:
3-5+ years of hands-on experience with AMP script, SQL, Python and
HTML/CSS
for email and landing page development. Proven experience with SQL Optimization and Query Studio to manage large-scale datasets without performance degradation. Expertise in Journey Builder, Automation Studio, and Data Extension architecture.
Integration Skills:
Deep understanding of Marketing Cloud Connect (MCC) and syncing data between Sales/Service Cloud and SFMC.
Analytical Skills:
Proven ability to gather requirements and translate them into technical user stories, process maps, and data flow diagrams.
Communication:
Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to explain technical concepts (like API payloads or data modeling) to non-technical business partners. Even better, you may have...
Advanced Scripting:
Proficiency in Server-Side JavaScript (SSJS) and JSON for complex logic and API parsing.
API Expertise:
Experience testing and implementing REST and SOAP APIs using tools like Postman .
AI & Personalization:
Experience implementing Einstein AI (Send Time Optimization, Engagement Scoring) and Interaction Studio (Marketing Cloud Personalization) .
Future-Proofing:
Familiarity with Salesforce Data Cloud (CDP) , identity resolution, and high-level data modeling.
DevOps Tools:
Experience with SFMC Package Manager , Deployment Manager, or VS Code for SFMC development. SAAS expereince is a plus
Certifications:
Salesforce Marketing Cloud Email Specialist (Required). Salesforce Marketing Cloud Developer or Consultant (Highly Preferred). Salesforce Certified Data Cloud Consultant (Plus). This position is a salary grade 8 and ranges from $96,720-162,120. Final determination of salary grade will be based on candidate's skills and experience, and base salary will be set within the applicable range according to job scope, responsibility and competitive market value.
