Content & Marketing Specialist UnleashU Kansas City, MO Job Details Full-time 18 hours ago Benefits Health insurance 401(k) Paid time off Qualifications Audience analysis Online blogs Bachelor's degree Social media content creation Full Job Description The shortest distance between two people is a story. Some of the most magical words are: Once upon a time… And that's where you come in. We need someone to help tell our story, and help us figure out which story needs to be told, to whom, when, and how. Our reason for being at UnleashU is simple: to unleash potential. But that only matters if people understand who we are, what we believe, and how we can help them. You don't need to be the world's best writer, videographer, designer, or podcaster. You do need to know how to orchestrate . We're looking for someone who can understand an audience, find the story that will matter to them, determine the best way to tell it, and use the people, technology, AI, platforms, and resources around you to bring that story to life. Sometimes that might be a blog post. Sometimes a video. A sales deck. A podcast. A learning experience. A customer story. An RFP response. Or something we haven't thought of yet. You won't get everything right the first time. Neither did most people who eventually created something worth noticing. What matters is that you're a learner. You're curious. You're determined. You're willing to test something, learn from it, make it better, and get back out there again. Got a little chip on your shoulder? Looking for an opportunity to prove what you're capable of? You'll probably fit in well here. What You'll Own Audience & Story Strategy Help us better understand the different audiences we serve, and what matters to each of them. You'll help identify and segment audiences, develop audience profiles and messaging standards, and answer questions like: Who are we trying to reach? What do they care about? What do we want them to understand, feel, or do? What story will resonate with them? And what is the best way to tell it? Content & Marketing You'll help develop and execute content across multiple audiences and formats, including: Articles and thought leadership Video Podcasts Social content Customer stories Sales collateral and presentations RFP and proposal content Campaigns and other marketing initiatives Internal and external content libraries This isn't simply a role where someone hands you a list of things to create. We want you helping decide what should be created in the first place. Learning & Education Learning is a big part of who we are. You'll work with our learning and education content to help us understand what makes content engaging, useful, and memorable. You'll help identify best practices, establish standards, and find better ways to turn knowledge and expertise into experiences that help people learn. Experimentation & Improvement We are still building. That means you'll have room to try things. We want someone willing to experiment with new formats, technologies, AI tools, distribution channels, and approaches. You'll look at what is working, what isn't, and what we're learning—and use that information to make the next thing better. Progress matters more to us than pretending everything worked perfectly the first time. Who We're Looking For You may be a great fit if you: Are an excellent verbal and written communicator Know how to turn complicated ideas into clear, compelling stories Are naturally curious about people and what motivates them Can think strategically while still being willing to create and execute Know your way around modern marketing, content, and communication tools Are comfortable using AI and emerging technology as part of how you work Can confidently lead a conversation and communicate a point of view Are resourceful and know how to figure things out Enjoy working collaboratively and pulling together the talents of other people Are comfortable with ambiguity and a company that is still evolving Take ownership rather than waiting for someone to tell you exactly what to do Are willing to experiment, fail, learn, and try again Are motivated, ambitious, and interested in growing beyond the boundaries of a job description A bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience is preferred. We care considerably more about what you can do, how you think, and your willingness to learn than we do about checking every box on a résumé. What You Get Yes, there's a paycheck. But we hope that's not the most interesting reason to work here. You get an opportunity to grow, learn, explore, and experiment while working alongside a team that believes people are capable of far more than most organizations allow them to demonstrate. We aren't interested in doing something the same way forever simply because "that's how we've always done it." We encourage thoughtful risk-taking. We accept that failure is sometimes part of figuring out something better. And we want you to grow beyond this job, whether that means developing new skills, taking on bigger challenges, or discovering capabilities you didn't know you had. You can learn more about how we work by reading The Owner's Manual , our culture document, on the About Us page at unleashu.io/about . Compensation, Benefits & Work Environment UnleashU is still young and scrappy, and we want to be transparent about what we currently offer.
