Full-Time Overview We're looking for an experienced Email Marketing & Automation Specialist to join our growing team in Temecula, CA. This is an in-person role with flexibility for hybrid work, ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative, data-driven environment. The right candidate has a strong grasp of both automated workflows and one-time list sends (broadcast campaigns) understanding how to strategically balance the two to drive engagement, conversion, and retention across B2B, B2C, and e-commerce audiences. You'll manage everything from deliverability and segmentation to list acquisition, campaign reporting, and account-based outreach, ensuring every send performs at its highest potential. Key Responsibilities Plan, build, and execute both automated and one-time email campaigns across multiple industries and audiences. Develop automation workflows for lead nurturing, onboarding, post-purchase, re-engagement, referral, and lifecycle campaigns. Manage one-time list sends such as newsletters, product launches, promotions, and event announcements, ensuring proper segmentation and timing. Implement account-based marketing (ABM) and cold email strategies to reach targeted decision-makers and drive B2B opportunities. Maintain and improve deliverability through authentication (SPF, DKIM, DMARC), sender reputation monitoring, and ongoing list hygiene. Develop and optimize list acquisition systems via lead magnets, website forms, pop-ups, and CRM integrations. Segment and personalize campaigns to maximize relevance and engagement across buyer personas and industries. Test and optimize campaigns through A/B testing on subject lines, CTAs, send times, and creative formats. Analyze performance metrics (deliverability, open rates, click rates, conversions) and provide actionable insights for improvement. Ensure compliance with CAN-SPAM, GDPR, and cold email best practices. Collaborate cross-functionally with creative, design, and sales teams to align email content and automation with larger marketing initiatives. Create SOPs and documentation for campaign setup, automation logic, and reporting processes. Required Skills & Experience 6-10 years of experience managing email marketing programs across B2B, B2C, and e-commerce environments. Proven success running both automated email sequences and manual one-time list sends. Proficiency in marketing automation platforms (ActiveCampaign, HubSpot, Go High Level, Klaviyo, or similar). Strong understanding of email deliverability, sender reputation, DNS setup, and compliance frameworks. Hands-on experience with cold email and account-based marketing (ABM) outreach tools. Expertise in list building, segmentation, and acquisition strategies that drive engagement and list growth. Solid copywriting and messaging skills focused on conversion and clarity. Analytical mindset with experience using reporting dashboards and interpreting data to improve performance. Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and brand accounts simultaneously.
