Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY
Join the Strategy, Innovation & Marketing team at U.S. Energy as a Marketing & Strategy Intern for Summer 2027. Our team helps drive profitable growth by connecting market intelligence, strategic planning, business development, customer insights, and marketing communications. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain exposure to both marketing and strategy. The intern will support initiatives ranging from market research and competitive intelligence to marketing campaigns, customer insights, executive communications, and strategic growth projects. We are looking for a curious, analytical, and creative individual who enjoys solving business problems, uncovering insights, and helping bring ideas to life. This position is located at U.S. Venture Corporate Headquarters, 222 W. College Avenue, Appleton, WI, with flexibility for occasional remote work. The internship will run from May through August 2027, with dates adjusted as needed based on academic schedules.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Conduct market research and competitive intelligence to identify industry trends, customer insights, growth opportunities, and emerging market developments. Develop content for various platforms, including social media, website, thought leadership, video, print, and email communications. Analyze market, customer, and competitive data to support strategic initiatives and business recommendations. Contribute to the planning and execution of marketing campaigns and communications across digital and traditional channels. Research and evaluate new business opportunities, market expansion opportunities, and strategic growth initiatives. Support strategic planning, customer insight initiatives, and executive-level presentations and communications. Coordinate trade shows, customer events, and other marketing and business initiatives.QUALIFICATIONS
- Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Economics, Political Science, or a related field.
- Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to take initiative, manage priorities, and work independently.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and SharePoint.
