Content Marketing Specialist (Part-Time) Puppy Steps Training | Lewiston, Utah About Puppy Steps Training Puppy Steps Training is Utah's premier puppy training program, specializing exclusively in raising confident, obedient, and well-socialized puppies. Our mission is to give puppies the foundation they need to become incredible family companions through structured training, early development, and intentional socialization. We are looking for a creative and motivated Content Marketing Specialist to help share our knowledge, tell our story, and connect with puppy owners who are looking for the highest level of training for their dogs. This is an opportunity for someone who loves dogs, enjoys storytelling, and wants to help grow a unique and highly respected brand. Position Overview The Content Marketing Specialist will be responsible for creating and managing educational and engaging content across multiple platforms, including our website, email newsletters, social media channels, and other marketing materials. The ideal candidate can take expert knowledge from our trainers and turn it into content that educates puppy owners, builds trust, and helps potential clients understand the value of professional puppy training. This is a part-time position (approximately 10-15 hours per week) with potential for growth. Responsibilities Write bi-weekly blog posts focused on puppy training, development, behavior, and owner education Create and manage monthly email newsletters Develop engaging Facebook and Instagram content Write social media captions and educational posts Turn training experiences, client questions, and common puppy challenges into valuable content Interview trainers and staff to capture stories, tips, and expertise Help create short-form video ideas and captions for reels/social media Assist with basic photo and video organization Help improve website content and search engine optimization (SEO) Maintain a consistent brand voice across all platforms Assist with marketing campaigns, promotions, and seasonal content Qualifications The ideal candidate will: Have strong writing and communication skills Enjoy storytelling and creating educational content Understand social media platforms and digital marketing Have basic knowledge of SEO and online marketing principles Be organized, dependable, and able to work independently Have excellent attention to detail Be comfortable learning about puppy training and dog behavior Have a passion for dogs and animal welfare Experience with the following is preferred but not required: Blog writing Email marketing platforms Canva or graphic design tools Video editing Photography WordPress or website management Social media scheduling tools What Success Looks Like A successful candidate will help
