At TI, Systems Marketing Engineering Interns focus deeply on understanding the technical needs of our customer, and future trends of an industry or end equipment, then create systems level solutions. Systems Marketing Engineering Interns drive technical collaboration with customer, product lines, and TI sales force to drive innovative whole system solutions across key end equipment. In this system marketing engineering internship, you'll have the chance to work on projects that involve: Work with customers to provide innovative solutions to their most challenging problems Utilize TI's broad portfolio to combine TI parts to create whole system level solutions to accelerate customer product life cycle Combine Hardware and software capabilities to further integrate complete TI solutions Reference design Development including: block diagram, schematic capture, PCB layout, fabrication and assembly, testing. Interface directly with TI business units and customers to influence product roadmaps Gather user requirements, translate them to functional specifications, and implement solutions and enhancements to broader end equipments. Provide complete documentation for system level solution Perform troubleshooting and debugging on issues related to the system working directly with customers As a Systems Marketing Engineering intern, you will also get exposure to other roles such as: Applications Engineering, Product Marketing Engineering, Systems Engineering, and Sales that will help you broaden your knowledge and accelerate your growth and success at TI. Minimum Requirements:
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering or related field Cumulative 3.0/4.0 GPA or higher
Preferred Qualifications:
Understanding of and experience with system design, including writing IC design specifications, developing algorithms and creating system reference models Knowledge in structured and/or object-oriented programming (C, C++) and signal processing tools (Matlab) Analysis of common electrical circuits Ability to establish strong relationships with key stakeholders critical to success, both internally and externally Strong verbal and written communication skills including ability to present solutions to key stakeholders and customers. Ability to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functions Ability to quickly ramp on new systems and processes Demonstrated strong interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to take the initiative and drive for results Strong time management skills that enable on-time project delivery Ability to piece together/analyze data from multiple sources to aid in decision making process Familiar with schematic capture simulation tools Ability to use data and calculations to select best fitting parts Ability to break down and analyze complex systems
