Job Overview The Digital Marketing & Content Specialist supports Birkman's digital presence across its website, content, email, search, and marketing campaigns. This role combines strong writing and content skills with hands-on digital marketing experience. The ideal candidate is comfortable managing website content, developing campaigns, improving search visibility, creating emails and landing pages, and using performance data to understand what is working. You'll collaborate with Marketing, Product, Design, and internal subject matter experts to create digital experiences that build awareness, engage audiences, and support Birkman's broader marketing goals. Key Responsibilities Website & Digital Experience
- Manage and update content on the Birkman website using Craft CMS.
- Maintain accurate, engaging, and up-to-date website content.
- Improve website navigation, user journeys, and conversion paths.
- Ensure website content follows brand and content standards.
- Collaborate with development and design partners on website enhancements, functionality, and layout.
- Identify opportunities to improve website engagement and the overall digital experience. Content Development
- Write and edit content for the website, blog, email campaigns, landing pages, social media, and other digital channels.
- Translate complex ideas into clear, engaging content for professional audiences.
- Collaborate with internal subject matter experts to develop useful and authoritative content.
- Maintain a consistent Birkman voice and brand experience across digital channels.
- Support content development for campaigns, products, education, events, webinars, and thought leadership initiatives.
- Repurpose existing content across channels and formats to extend its reach and value. SEO & Digital Visibility
- Conduct keyword and topic research to identify opportunities for organic growth.
- Optimize website and blog content for search visibility and audience intent.
- Manage on-page SEO elements including internal linking, metadata, page structure, and content optimization.
- Use Google Search Console, Google Analytics, and SEO platforms to monitor organic performance.
- Identify new content opportunities based on search behavior, audience needs, competitive research, and industry trends.
- Stay current on changes in traditional and AI-driven search and adapt content strategies accordingly. Email & Digital Campaigns
- Build and execute marketing emails, landing pages, forms, and campaign assets using HubSpot.
- Support email nurture campaigns and audience segmentation.
- Coordinate digital campaign execution across web, email, content, search, social, and paid channels.
- Develop campaign messaging and supporting digital content.
- Test messaging, creative, landing pages, and calls to action to improve performance.
- Maintain campaign calendars and coordinate digital deliverables across initiatives. Analytics & Optimization
- Monitor website, email, content, SEO, and campaign performance.
- Use Google Analytics, HubSpot, and other marketing tools to identify trends and opportunities.
- Develop regular marketing performance reports and communicate key findings.
- Use performance data to recommend improvements to content and campaigns.
- Conduct A/B tests and other experiments to improve engagement and conversion.
- Monitor digital marketing benchmarks and emerging best practices. Marketing Support
- Contribute ideas and insights to campaign planning and broader marketing initiatives.
- Conduct audience, competitor, and industry research to support marketing strategy.
- Help identify new opportunities to reach and engage Birkman's target audiences.
- Support major marketing initiatives including product launches, webinars, events, educational programs, and brand campaigns.
- Support other departments in their efforts to engage Birkman's audiences through marketing guidance, content, and digital resources.
- Collaborate with other members of the Marketing team to keep campaigns and content moving from concept through execution. Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years of digital marketing experience.
- Strong writing and editing skills with examples across multiple digital channels.
- Experience managing and publishing website content through a CMS.
- Hands-on experience with email marketing and digital campaign execution.
- Working knowledge of HubSpot or a comparable marketing platform.
- Experience with SEO, including keyword research and on-page optimization.
- Experience with Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and digital performance measurement.
- Ability to interpret marketing data and turn findings into practical recommendations.
- Strong communication, organization, collaboration, and project management skills. Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Craft CMS.
- Experience with HubSpot Marketing Hub.
- HubSpot or Google certifications.
- Experience with SEO platforms such as SEMrush, Ahrefs, or Moz.
- Experience in professional services, coaching, consulting, leadership development, or related industries.
- Basic
HTML/CSS
knowledge.
- Familiarity with Canva, Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, Asana, or similar tools.
- Familiarity with emerging search trends, including AI search and answer engine optimization.
What You'll Work On You'll play a hands-on role in how Birkman shows up digitally, from the experience someone has on Birkman.com to the emails, articles, landing pages, and campaigns they encounter along the way.
