About the Role We are looking for a creative, organized, and hands-on Content & Marketing Specialist to support our marketing efforts in the Kitsap area. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys being out in the community, capturing authentic content, editing photos and video, and turning day-to-day activity into engaging marketing content. The ideal candidate is comfortable working independently, has a strong eye for visual storytelling, and understands how to create content that feels genuine rather than overly produced. In this role, success means consistently helping us show rather than simply tell our story . You'll help create a steady stream of authentic, high-quality content that increases visibility, strengthens our online presence, and connects our audience to what we're doing in the community. This is an in-person position averaging approximately 10 hours per week , with scheduling coordinated around organizational activities, events, and content needs. Key Responsibilities Content Creation & Capture Capture photos and short-form video during events, activities, meetings, and other in-person opportunities. Create Reels, Stories, short videos, photos, and other social media assets. Identify opportunities to capture authentic, engaging content throughout the week. Maintain an organized library of photos, videos, and other digital assets. Editing & Content Production Edit short-form videos, photos, graphics, and other marketing materials. Create social media-ready content using tools such as Canva, CapCut, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar platforms. Repurpose existing content into new posts, reels, stories, and promotional materials. Ensure content is visually consistent with the organization's brand. Content Strategy Plan content Research trends Help develop and maintain a monthly/weekly content calendar. Brainstorm content ideas and recommend new ways to increase engagement. Plan content around events, campaigns, organizational priorities, and important dates. Track upcoming content needs and proactively identify opportunities. Marketing Support Assist with social media management and scheduling. Support email marketing, promotional campaigns, and other marketing initiatives as needed. Help create flyers, digital graphics, event materials, and promotional content. Monitor basic social media engagement and identify content that performs well. Support general marketing projects as assigned. What We're Looking For Experience creating social media content, photography, videography, or digital marketing content. Strong understanding of social media platforms and short-form content. Comfortable taking photos and videos in an in-person environment. Basic to intermediate video and photo editing skills. Familiarity with Canva and/or other content creation tools. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Creative mindset with an eye for visual storytelling. Ability to work independently and take initiative. Professional communication skills. Reliable transportation and ability to work in person in the Kitsap area. Preferred Qualifications Experience managing social media for an organization, small business, nonprofit, or personal brand. Experience with Meta Business Suite, Instagram Reels, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn Experience with Canva, CapCut, Adobe Creative Suite, or comparable tools. Experience with Notion, Metricool, or similar content management systems. Basic understanding of social media analytics and engagement. Photography or videography experience. A portfolio or examples of previous content creation. Hours & Schedule Approximately 10 hours per week , with the majority of work completed in-person . The schedule will be flexible and coordinated around organizational activities, events, and content needs. Some weeks may require additional time around special events or campaigns.
