Job Description
Citi is evolving its current commerce offerings and branching into new avenues of growth by offering merchants access to high value cardmembers across Citi's digital properties and partner placements. By combining Citi's scale, trusted customer relationships, and real purchase insights, the business delivers advertising that is relevant to customers and drives measurable, incremental impact for advertisers. The Planning Associate supports the development and execution of media plans that align advertiser objectives with Citi's data and media capabilities. This role contributes to both strategy and execution, helping translate campaign briefs into actionable plans and ensuring campaigns are set up effectively. This individual will work closely with Sales, Ad Operations, Product, and Analytics to help deliver campaigns that meet performance goals.
Responsibilities:
Support the development of integrated media plans, including audience strategy, budget allocation, channel mix, and timing Use Citi's first-party data to help define target audiences and improve campaign performance Translate campaign objectives into clear planning recommendations with guidance from senior team members Partner with Sales and Account teams to support pre-sale planning and client presentations Collaborate with Ad Operations, Analytics, and Product to ensure campaigns are feasible and executed correctly Monitor campaign performance and recommend optimizations to improve key metrics (e.g., ROAS, conversion, engagement) Help communicate planning approach, performance expectations, and optimization ideas in internal and client discussions Contribute to developing and improving planning processes, tools, and templates Support test-and-learn initiatives and pilot campaigns to validate capabilities Assist in planning for both active campaigns and new business opportunities Media plans aligned to advertiser goals and Citi Commerce capabilities Audience targeting recommendations using first-party data Budget allocation and channel mix inputs Performance insights to inform optimization decisions Contributions to planning tools, frameworks, and documentation Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.Qualifications:
4-7 years of experience in media planning, advertising, or commerce media Experience supporting campaign execution from brief through launch Understanding of digital media planning across channels Familiarity with concepts such as audience targeting, programmatic, and campaign measurement Ability to work with data and translate insights into actionable recommendations Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Strong collaboration and communication skills Comfort working cross-functionally across teamsEducation:
