Full Job Description Overview:
The Golf Business Unit's Controls Product Manager will develop and execute strategies in the Golf electronic/controls product portfolio. This opportunity is to drive and support product solutions for electronic products and connected devices that minimize water and labor use in the golf industry, enabling consistent, high-quality play through the Intelligent use of Water™. We're looking for a candidate with proven experience in electronic and controller product management who can drive profitable growth through a well-executed roadmap. In this role, you'll ensure that existing electronic products meet market needs while aligning with Rain Bird's high standards. You'll take ownership of product line strategy, leading efforts across new product and feature development, lifecycle management, and product positioning from launch through maturity. Success in this role requires creativity, initiative, and a strong customer focus, along with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. You'll influence cross-functional teams and stakeholders to deliver results while leveraging strong leadership, interpersonal, and project management skills. This position also offers a clear path for growth, with the opportunity to develop into future management roles within the organization.Responsibilities:
Develop and drive global market strategies to grow sales and market share of golf controls/electronic product lines. Develop long-range golf product line strategies across customer segments that achieve substantial growth and profitability through new product introductions. Lead product development teams to deliver the highest quality products, while achieving schedule, investment, revenue and margin targets. Champion a "quality first" orientation and lead cross-functional efforts to maintain and improve on industry-leading quality for assigned product lines. Research business intelligence on competitors, customers, market trends and government regulations to develop positioning, pricing and growth strategies for new product initiatives.Qualifications:
Undergraduate degree with an emphasis in business, marketing, or engineering. 8 + years of relative experience to include marketing and leadership Project management experience and a track record of success with new product development. Experience developing and driving global market strategies for product lines Experience with growing sales and market share for controls/electronic product lines in both established and new markets Experience marketing and/or selling through distribution and contractor channels. Strong interpersonal, influencing, and leadership skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office, MS Project, Outlook).Desired Qualifications:
Master's degree in business, marketing or engineering. A desire to progress in your career into management or other leadership positions A passion for the game of golf, as well as experience in the golf industry, irrigation technologies, or adjacent industries.
