Contract type Freelance Location Costa Mesa, CA Specialty Fashion Salary $40-50hr Remote No Reference 515182 Contact name Catherine Aranda Job description Currently seeking an experienced Product Developer to support the end-to-end development of women's apparel across multiple categories. This role partners closely with cross-functional team as well as overseas vendors. The ideal candidate has a strong background in apparel development, product costing, vendor communication, and seasonal calendar management. This person is highly organized, detail-oriented, solutions-focused, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Key responsibilities include:
Manage product development from initial concept through bulk production across various women's apparel categories.
Serve as a primary contact for factory partners, supporting product execution, pricing, margin goals, and key deadlines.
Partner with cross-functional teams on prototypes, samples, approvals, materials, artwork, and production readiness.
Develop and maintain fabric, color, style, and specification information throughout the seasonal development cycle.
Identify sourcing, value-engineering, and process-improvement opportunities that support quality, speed, and profitability.
Maintain development calendars and prepare product lines for milestone reviews.
Qualifications:
Five or more years of women's apparel product development experience is preferred
Must be comfortable working with overseas vendors and have a solid understanding of costing, development timelines, and production processes.
Proficiency with PLM systems, Illustrator, Excel, Google Workspace, Word, and Outlook
High level of attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast paced environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills
