Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a New Product Development & Raw Materials Manager to lead product innovation and raw material sourcing/control for our frozen food manufacturing facility. This role bridges product development and ingredient management — from concept and formulation through raw material qualification, specification, and supply consistency. The ideal candidate has a strong food science background and the ability to manage cross-functional projects from concept to commercialization. Key Responsibilities New Product Development Lead the development of new frozen food products from concept through commercialization, including formulation, pilot testing, and scale-up Collaborate with sales, marketing, and operations to translate customer/market requirements into viable product concepts Conduct sensory evaluations, shelf-life testing, and nutritional analysis Prepare technical documentation: formulas, specifications, nutritional panels, labeling compliance Raw Material Control Monitor raw material quality, consistency, and compliance with food safety standards (HACCP, SQF, BRC, etc.) Work with purchasing to manage raw material inventory levels, shelf life, and cost fluctuations Investigate and resolve raw material quality issues or non-conformances Ensure traceability and documentation systems are maintained for audits Qualifications Bachelor's degree required; degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or related field strongly preferred Working knowledge of food safety regulations and certifications (HACCP, SQF, BRC, FDA) Proficiency with formulation software, nutritional labeling tools, and
