Windsor Locks, CT or Green Bay, WI Suominen is seeking an innovative and technically driven Manager, Innovation & Technology to join our global Innovation & Technology team. In this role, you'll lead product development initiatives, manage innovation projects, collaborate with customers, and help bring new technologies and products to market. What You'll Do Lead and manage a portfolio of innovation and product development projects Support strategic business objectives through prioritization of resources and project activities Drive new product development from concept through commercialization Identify opportunities for product improvements and competitive differentiation Partner with customers to understand needs and provide technical expertise Solve complex technical challenges through research, testing, and collaboration Work closely with manufacturing, quality, operations, sales, and R&D teams Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget Monitor industry trends, emerging technologies, technical publications, and patents Conduct patent research and support intellectual property development as needed Participate in long-term technology planning and future product innovation initiatives Present project updates and technical findings to leadership teams Travel to manufacturing facilities and customer locations as needed Champion a strong culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Textile Engineering, Fiber & Polymer Science, Nonwovens, Pulp & Paper Science, or a related field with 5+ years of industrial experience OR a Master's or Ph.D. with 2+ years of relevant industrial experience Experience within nonwovens, spunlace, pulp & paper, textiles, polymers, or related manufacturing industries Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and product development Experience managing multiple projects and competing priorities Ability to work effectively across cross-functional and global teams Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Customer-focused mindset with the ability to translate technical concepts into business solutions Self-motivated, proactive, and results-oriented approach Commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence Why Join Suominen?
