PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Conduct market and competitive research to identify emerging trends, consumer needs, and opportunities within the pet products industry. Analyze consumer insights and marketplace data to support product and marketing innovation initiatives. Identify opportunities for new products, enhancements, and solutions that deliver value to pets and pet parents. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Sales, R D, and Product Development, to evaluate and develop innovative concepts. Help build consumer empathy by researching how pet parents experience products today, including key challenges, needs, and aspirations. Support product innovation projects by investigating product claims, features, and market positioning. Assist in developing recommendations and presentations that inform innovation and business strategy. Coordinate with external agencies, research partners, and vendors while supporting additional innovation and market research projects as assigned.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND/OR QUALIFICATIONS
Working toward a degree in Marketing, Entrepreneurship, Psychology or Business with Marketing focus. Basic understanding of key marketing principles - completion of a minimum of two marketing related classes. Strong communication, analytical and organizational skills. Familiarity with conducting competitive or market analyses. Comfortable working independently when needed.
