Job Description

EV Product Manager Stellantis United States, Michigan, Auburn Hills Sep 08, 2026

The Role:

Lead the evolution of the Free2move Charge app in NA as we transition from a standalone consumer application to an integrated backend platform supporting Stellantis's SPACE mobile app ecosystem. You'll manage the full product lifecycle-balancing immediate feature improvements with long-term architectural transformation-while serving as the critical bridge between external development partners, internal stakeholders, and cross-functional technical teams.

What You'll Do:
  • Product & Feature Management (40%) Own the Free2move Charge app roadmap and backlog, prioritizing features that improve reliability, coverage, and user experience
  • Conduct feature triage: protect what works, fix critical bugs (home charger connectivity, session management, credit delivery), sunset what doesn't
  • Manage external development supplier (Experion): translate business requirements into product specifications, conduct sprint reviews, enforce quality gates, validate SOWs

Drive expansion of CPO (Charging Point Operator) network partnerships to extend coverage with a strong focus on DCFC chargers SPACE Integration & Backend Architecture (30%) Lead strategic transition from standalone app to backend-driven architecture supporting offboard and onboard services

Map and monitor feature migration from Free2move Charge app to the SPACE mobile app rollout plan

Define API requirements and ensure backend can support multi-channel access (mobile app, vehicle HMI, web...)

Plan potential F2m Charge app frontend sunset strategy while maintaining service continuity for customers

Own technical documentation for platform capabilities and integration requirements Cross-Functional Stakeholder Management (30%) Present roadmaps, improvement plans, and release calendars to leadership and business stakeholders

Collaborate with Navigation Team to create seamless offboard (app) and onboard (vehicle) charging experiences

Partner with Vehicle Engineering to ensure EVs provide required telemetry, connected services APIs, and support charging protocols (ISO 15118-20, OCPP, etc.)

Align with Connected Services teams on data architecture, vehicle-to-cloud communication, and customer identity management

Coordinate with Customer Experience & Support on issue resolution, credit fulfillment, and service quality metrics

Why This Role Matters:

You're not just managing an app-you're building the digital backbone for Stellantis's EV charging and energy ecosystem across North America. Your work directly impacts our customers' daily public charging experience, our ability to deliver differentiated experience, and our competitiveness in the rapidly evolving EV market.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field

A minimum of 8 years product management experience with mobile applications and/or backend platforms

Proven track record managing external development vendors/suppliers and distributed technical teams

Experience presenting technical roadmaps to non-technical stakeholders and executive leadership

Interest in product: identify customer needs, translate them in user stories, acceptance criteria and product requirement.

Strong customer focus to deliver the best customer experience

Preferred Qualifications:

EV charging ecosystem knowledge (CPOs, OCPP, ISO 15118, EVSE hardware)

Experience with platform migrations or app-to-backend architecture transitions

Interest in API design, microservices architecture, and cloud-based platforms

Background in connected vehicle services, telematics, or automotive infotainment systems
