The team is responsible for spreading and managing efforts to apply AI-based technologies across the Product Development and Technology (PDT) organization. Mission To get to that vision, we set our mission as improving PDT efficiency, speed, inventiveness, and quality, as well as Stellantis customer satisfaction, by setting-up, maintaining, and ensuring delivery: 1) projects for shared tools and resources to allow PDT teams to build their own AI-based applications and processes, as well as 2) projects for from-the-scratch, turn-key AI-based applications and processes for PDT teams that don't have the resources to build their own; while taking advantage of latest AI tech adapted to our people. Role Responsibilities The role is that of a Product Manager and it has the following primary responsibilities: Researches problems and needs across PDT where AI could help (which relies on understanding other teams, as well as some level of understanding of the available technology). Receives requests or ideas for AI-based solutions within a portfolio of domains, documents them and prioritizes them, using a database that consistently captures key project attributes, including initial quantification of potential benefits and project resources needed, risks, and alignment with team and organizational strategic priorities. At least for each prioritized project, captures the problem, or a set of problems or needs, to be addressed by an AI-based product, into a Product Requirements Document (PRD), which among other elements at least defines: current situation, history, and other relevant context; problem or need statement, specific top-level goals to achieve, metrics for judging success and measuring the solution quality, criteria for launching the product; quantification of benefits that a solution would bring; aspects considered outside the scope of the product; persona descriptions, uses cases, and scenario walkthroughs; key expected features, along with their expected behaviors, inputs/outputs, user interactions and interface expectations and mock-ups, acceptance criteria, and quality metrics; scalability expectations and potential; non-functional requirements, such as safety, security, privacy, compliance, and accessibility; known technical constraints; project timing expectations. Refines PRD over time. Leads a team consisting of a Solution Architect (who leads laying out the top-level technical solution architecture options for addressing the needs captured in the PRD), and a Project Manager (who facilitates lighting up the needed resources establishes and monitors plan timelines and obstacles). Starts up projects by engaging the Solution Architect, Project Manager, and key contributing teams. Manages and is accountable for portfolio consisting of a number of projects spanning a number of related domains. Acts as a primary representative of the portfolio of projects to the Program Director, including communicating progress, escalating problems, and providing suggestions for improvements. Contributes to setting the team strategy, plans, and team processes. Qualifications Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field A minimum of 5 years of experience including a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role. Ability to engage and understand diverse teams, intuit their needs and opportunities, relate them to existing capabilities and technical potentials, and convert them into structured and precise descriptive and quantitative documents that facilitate benefits assessment and prioritization, and inspire effective solutions. All of the above abilities more fundamentally depend on excellent spoken and written communications skills and on adapting fitting communication styles, as well as the ability to convert sometimes vague expectations into fitting measurable success metrics. History of successful projects with a leadership role. Ability to keep the big picture in mind while still following through on the details. Ability to understand, at a high level, complex technical systems. Ability to understand AI/ML and software engineering concepts at a functional level.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience developing or using ML, AI, or data driven solutions. A degree in an engineering field (e.g. computer, software, machine learning, intelligent systems, control systems, mechatronics, systems, mechanical engineering…) or a science field (e.g. physics, mathematics, …) A degree in business administration or related experience. Ability to work across teams and influence organizational change. Ability to build agreement. Demonstrated ability to motivate teams. Experience working with global teams.
