This group is a global leader in providing critical medical diagnostic and data management products for rapid blood analysis that are intuitive, reliable, and cost-effective. Our i-STAT System is an advanced, portable diagnostic tool that provides real-time, lab-quality results within minutes to accelerate patient-care decision-making. The i-STAT System has the industry's most comprehensive menu of tests on a single platform, including tests for blood gases, electrolytes, chemistries, coagulation, hematology, glucose, cardiac markers, and traumatic brain injury. By delivering lab-quality results in minutes, our i-STAT System fosters a collaborative, patient-centered environment while driving improved operational performance. The individual hired will lead the global strategy to unlock the full commercial and clinical value of Abbott point-of-care diagnostic platforms across instruments, connectivity, and consumables test. This role is critical to accelerating the transition from legacy platforms to next generation solutions by developing differentiated value proposition of the i-STAT solution, driving business cases for portfolio migration, and defining a cohesive connectivity and software roadmap that enhances customer outcomes.
  • What you'll work on
  • + Define and lead the global instrument strategy across legacy and next gen platforms, including clear pathways to accelerate customer migration + Develop compelling, differentiated value propositions that clearly articulate clinical, operational, and economic benefits of i-STAT portfolio in collaboration with other product managers + Conduct targeted market research to drive competitive differentiation and accelerate adoption of portfolio solution + Build business cases and cross functional alignment (R D, Med Affairs, Regional Marketing) during the annual strategic planning cycle to support innovation roadmap + Define and drive the connectivity and software roadmap, identifying opportunities to enhance value through workflow optimization, data integration, analytics, and AI + Enable regional teams with clear messaging, tools, and frameworks to support conversion, competitive positioning and value-based selling + Collaborate with other product marketers to ensure alignment across instruments, assays, and services to maximize total portfolio value and long-term customer impact •Required Qualifications•+ B.
A. or B.S. Degree in business or life sciences discipline and two years' experience, or associate degree and 4 years' experience, or master's degree. + 4+ years of experience in marketing, 7 years preferred in similar area.
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • + Possess strong project management skills, with proven ability to clearly define objectives, priorities, develop project plans, and manage to deadlines.
+ At least 2 years in life sciences/medical device industry highly preferred + Initiative and self-motivation; strong work ethic; leadership and team orientation; strong proactive interpersonal skills with proven ability to work with others; ability to work in a matrixed environment, strong cross-functional management by influence. + Excellent oral and written communication skills (including presentation and listening skills with senior level staff) preferred. + Demonstrated track record of success in portfolio management, product launches and commercialization preferred. + 2+ years of experience with using customer insights to build software roadmaps + 2+ years of experience with software-enabled business models (SaaS) preferred + Experience with migration strategy to transition customers from one capital platform to next generation platform + Understanding of the complexities of the diagnostics market and customer needs + _Global experience, highly preferred_ (https://www.jobs.abbott/us/en)
