Position Summary BAE Systems is seeking a Program Manager Power Systems Product Management to support the leadership and management of advanced electrification products for heavy-duty ground vehicles and aircraft applications. This position serves as Deputy to the Product Management Director for Power Systems and provides leadership across two key product value streams: High-Voltage Energy Storage Systems battery systems and associated technologies Power Electronics & Controls Including but not limited to High Voltage / High-Power propulsion and auxiliary inverters, DC-DC converters, on-vehicle power generation / grid quality export power systems, and system controllers. The role is responsible for product development, product strategy and roadmapping, lifecycle management, product commonality and reuse,and production oversight. The Program Manager works across Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, Finance, Business Development, and Program Management to ensure successful execution and long-term competitiveness of the Power Systems portfolio. Product & Value Stream Leadership Support the Product Management Director in developing and executing the Power Systems product strategy. Provide leadership across the High-Voltage Energy Storage and Power Electronics & Controls value streams. Manage products throughout the lifecycle from technology development and qualification through production and continuous improvement. Align product investments and priorities with customer requirements, market opportunities, and business objectives. Product Development & Planning Oversee product development to achieve technical, cost, schedule, quality, and business objectives. Develop and maintain multi-generation product and technology roadmaps. Establish product requirements and performance targets in collaboration with Engineering and Business Development. Identify development risks, technology gaps, and investment requirements and drive appropriate mitigation strategies. Ensure effective transition of new products from development into production. Product Commonality & Reuse Drive common architectures, components,software, controls, interfaces, and technologies across products and applications. Maximize reuse between ground vehicle andaerospace electrification platforms where technically and commercially appropriate. Reduce unnecessary product proliferation through modular product and platform strategies. Leverage commonality to reduce development cost and time while improving reliability, manufacturability, and supply-chain efficiency. Production & Operational Oversight Provide product-level oversight of production performance across both value streams. Partner with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Quality to achieve delivery, cost, quality, and reliability objectives. Support resolution of significant production and supply-chain issues. Drive Design for Manufacturing, Design for Cost,and Design for Supply Chain throughout product development. Incorporate production and field experience into future product generations. Business & Customer Support Support product business cases, investment planning, cost targets, and long-range business plans. Partner with Business Development to understand emerging customer and market requirements. Support proposals, customer technical discussions, and strategic capture activities. Ensure customer-specific solutions align with broader product strategies and maximize opportunities for reuse. Product Portfolio High-Voltage Energy Storage High-voltage battery packs and modules Battery management systems High-voltage distribution and protection Thermal management and safety systems Next-generation battery technologies Power Electronics & Controls High-voltage/high-power traction drive inverters DC-DC converters Export and on-board power generation electronics Power distribution systems Vehicle and system controllers Embedded controls and software Leadership Expectations The Program Manager will act as a key extension of the Product Management Director, balancing near-term product development and production execution with long-term product strategy. Success will be measured by product development execution, production performance, product competitiveness, and increased commonality and reuse across the Power Systems portfolio, enabling scalable electrification solutions for both ground and aerospace app licatio ns. Required Education, Experience, & Skills Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience. Demonstrated experience in program management, product management, engineering leadership, or product-line management. Experience leading complex multi disciplinary product development. Knowledge of high-voltage electrification, energy storage, power electronics, electric propulsion, or related technologies. Experience managing products from development through production. Strong understanding of technical, cost, schedule, and business performance management. Demonstrated ability to lead and influence across a matrixed organization. Strong communication, presentation, and decision-making skills. PMP, PgMP, or equivalent program-management experience. Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills Advanced engineering or business degree. Experience with high-voltage batteries, traction inverters, DC-DC converters, or system controls. Experience with ground vehicle and/or aerospace electrification. Experience developing modular product architectures and reuse strategies. Experience transitioning advanced technologies into production.
