GRC Product Strategist & Subject Matter Expert

About the Role At K2GRC , we are building modern compliance and risk solutions designed to simplify how organizations make strategic decisions. To build the best product on the market, we don't just need a standard Product Manager; we need a GRC Practitioner or Power User who has lived in the trenches. If you have hands-on experience working inside enterprise GRC platforms, know our Customer Profile ( enterprise organizations in highly regulated sectors (e.g., Financial Services, Healthcare, Defense, Energy )) inside and out; specifically enterprise organizations operating in heavily regulated industries—and know what existing software gets right and where it falls flat, this role is for you. In this position, you will serve as the domain expert guiding our product suite. You will evaluate GRC platform workflows, pinpoint operational pain points, and directly advise our leadership and development teams on what features, capabilities, and user experiences our product must deliver to win in the enterprise market. Key Responsibilities Drive Product Strategy with
Domain Expertise:
Leverage your real-world experience using GRC platforms to inform our product roadmap, prioritizing features that deliver high-impact solutions for enterprise risk and compliance teams. Represent theEnterprise ICP:
Act as the internal voice for our core customer base—enterprise organizations in highly regulated sectors (e.g., Financial Services, Healthcare, Defense, Energy).Evaluate Platform Strengths & Weaknesses:
Conduct practical assessments of existing GRC software tools and competitor solutions, identifying functional gaps and opportunities for K2 GRC to innovate. Translate Real-World Needs intoProduct Requirements:
Partner closely with our engineering team to convert complex compliance, governance, and risk workflows into practical software requirements and user stories.Improve Workflow Visualization:
Help design better ways for risk professionals to visualize, manage, and report on organizational structures, control environments, and governance data.Cross-Functional Leadership:
Work alongside Customer Success, Sales, and Leadership to validate user needs, join high-value customer discovery calls, and assist with strategic product positioning.What We're Looking For Deep GRC Industry Experience:
Significant hands-on experience as a GRC practitioner, GRC platform administrator, Risk & Compliance Analyst, or GRC Consultant.Platform Power User:
Demonstrated expertise working directly inside major GRC software platforms (e.g., ServiceNow GRC, Archer, Workiva, MetricStream, OneTrust, LogicGate, or similar tools). You know what you love and hate about current platforms.Understanding of Regulated Enterprises:
Intimate knowledge of the workflows, reporting requirements, internal controls, and governance structures required by enterprise organizations operating under strict regulatory oversight.Product-Minded Orientation:
You don't necessarily need 10 years of formal SaaS product management experience, but you must have a natural instinct for product design, user experience, and feature prioritization.Strong Communication & Translation Skills:
Ability to articulate complex risk/compliance requirements clearly to software engineers, product designers, and executive stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications Prior experience advising on SaaS software development or acting as a Product Owner/SME for GRC technology tools. Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CISA, CRISC, CISM, GRCP, or equivalent). Experience with multi-entity risk management, board governance, entity management, or IT/Cybersecurity risk frameworks.
