Job Description

Grow sales by establishing new product lines , developing effective sales & marketing strategies. Employer operates a purchasing cooperative servicing approximately 1400 customers in the recycling industry. In addition to operating out of the main office, this rewarding opportunity encourages the candidate to perform courtesy visits and attend trade shows & seminars. Candidate must be able to communicate well, explaining technical information in simple, easy-to-understand terms. Candidate can expect $50-$80K with base salary and commission. The Product Manager (PM) manages product groups and oversees Customer Service Representatives (CSR) in support of sales objectives. 2. PM's are to have sufficient analytic skills to analyze their product lines, set realistic goals and develop methods to achieve them. 3. PM's must be able to communicate well. Due to the technical nature of products NASCOOP sells, PM's must be able to explain technical information in simple easy to understand terms. 4. PM's must be capable of performing the duties of the CSRs they over see, with the addition of: a. Develop sales and marketing programs for products represented. b. Promote and advance relationships with existing and new suppliers. c. Represent NASCOOP at various trade shows, meetings and seminars. d. Create and perform presentations for members, suppliers and staff. e. Be knowledgeable on industry use of items representing and achieve a higher level of technical expertise to assist with basic troubleshooting procedures. 5. A work schedule that may require up to 25% travel to perform courtesy visits to members and suppliers. Must possess a valid state driver's license not under suspension and personal liability insurance. Travel to some assignments will require flights on commercial airlines. 6. Perform other tasks as assigned by Management. 7. This is a exempt position.
