Adecco Creative is partnering with an iconic NYC fashion house to recruit for a Product Development Coordinator role. This position will be temp to perm and a hybrid schedule. Candidates MUST have experience with cut & sew.
Job Title:
Ready-To-Wear Product Development and Production Coordinator, Cut & Sew Primary Purpose:
The Coordinator will support the product development and production cycle of the Cut & Sew Ready-to-Wear Team. Communicating daily with internal cross functional partners and external service providers to ensure major milestones are achieved within the timelines published. Responsible for the completion of bill of materials, support in costing process and tracking of samples at each stage of development through production. The Coordinator with be the key point person for daily vendor communication and address all issues pertinent to accurate execution of product from development through to production ex-factory. The successful individual will leverage their proficiency in Product Development to... Build and maintain sample tracking WIP for each season/ service provider in Excel. Manage, track, monitor and report on sample and delivery status utilizing factory WIP report. Communicate (both written and verbal) daily with overseas service providers as well as with internal cross functional partners regarding status of product samples and materials. Coordinate sending and receiving of all development packages and corresponding materials for development samples to/ from Service Provider; work with in-house Atelier to steam/ prep samples for handover to design. Required to prepare shipping documents in DHL system. Review all samples received and check for accuracy, execution, and understanding of Design's intent. Build and maintain Bill of Materials for Cut & Sew product across Outlet and Collection channels in systems; release Bill of Materials to service providers in accordance with PDT. Build and maintain production WIP reports for each service provider. Follow up to ensure timely updates to all production WIPs. Update Costing in systems after each costing meeting during development stage; support the approval and validation of costing in systems prior to bulk shipments. Support Sr Manager in material development and sourcing including lab dips, color approval with design, sample material ordering, CM# creation. Partner with design to set up seasonal fabric/ color boards. Create, manage and track all sample fabric orders. Partner with Trim materials manager for product accessories sample orders and support tracking of bulk approval and on time delivery. Support PR, Marketing, and Ecom sample process releasing orders to Service Providers and working with internal cross functional teams to deliver product on time for PR/marketing needs in the correct size for the talent. Process all incoming invoices in internal system for payment and reconcile actual spend vs. estimates in budget tracker. Special projects as assigned.
The accomplished individual will possess:
2-3 year's experience in product development and production, with a previous focus on knits; knowledge of basic garment construction. Basic understanding of knit material construction. Experience working with both overseas and domestic factories strongly preferred Basic retail math skills Passion for fashion & RTW product cycle Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to multi-task and prioritize with a sense of urgency and flexibility Demonstrate ability to be a self-starter who is solution orientated Effective organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to work in a collaborative team environment and communicate cross-functionally with all levels of the organization Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Outlook and Excel An outstanding professional will have: Experience working for a luxury a brand with runway shows a plus An understanding of knit product lead times and garment construction knowledge Strong interpersonal skills for building working relationships within teams Ability to work in a global, multi-cultural environment
