Our client is currently seeking a
Sr Product Manager Senior Product Manager Location:
Hybrid - Carmel, IN (Preferred) or
San Antonio, TX Duration:
12+ Months (Contract to hire/ Extend) About the job Under limited direction, you will lead the vision, strategy, and execution of product initiatives across a core business domain. Partnering with senior leaders, you will define product roadmaps, align with organizational goals, and deliver innovative solutions that enhance the customer experience and drive business outcomes. In this role, you will provide thought leadership in product management practices and ensure seamless integration with broader technology strategies. You will also oversee a team of product managers, product owners, and cross-functional individual contributors, ensuring strict alignment with enterprise objectives while fostering a culture of excellence, engagement, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities Product Strategy & Vision:
Lead long-term product visioning, strategy development, and planning. Partner with leadership to integrate product roadmaps with business strategies, oversee resource/budget planning, and act as a sponsor for key projects to ensure the successful delivery of business outcomes.
Product & Portfolio Management:
Define and evolve product management standards and best practices. Establish governance frameworks and prioritization models. Monitor success metrics, leverage insights to inform strategy, and review/approve product requirements for development partners.
People Management & Team Development:
Establish clear roles, responsibilities, and accountability for delivery. Provide mentorship to foster capability development. Make informed decisions on compensation, promotions, and career development to strengthen organizational capability.
Change Management:
Anticipate organizational impacts and prepare the business for significant transformational initiatives. Develop and execute change management plans covering process changes, knowledge management, risk, compliance, and continuous improvement.
Culture & Contribution:
Set a strategic tone that aligns with core organizational philosophies. Promote innovation and continuous improvement, build strong collaborative teams, and provide a broader context for decision-making across functions.
Minimum Requirements:
Experience defining and driving long-term product vision, strategies, roadmaps, and business cases aligned with enterprise objectives. Experience in people management, including building and leading high-performing teams, overseeing the talent lifecycle (hiring, performance management), and coaching. Experience leading cross-functional teams to deliver enterprise-level strategic initiatives and transformational programs. Experience utilizing advanced analytics, voice of customer (VOC) insights, and market research to optimize product portfolio performance and engagement.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certifications in Advanced Product Management, SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager, or equivalent. Strong awareness of industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory requirements to inform strategic decisions. Demonstrated ability to partner with executive leadership, influence decision-making across multiple business units, and communicate complex strategies clearly to senior stakeholders. Proven track record in designing and implementing comprehensive change management programs and driving user adoption. Demonstrated ability to model organizational values, champion innovation, and exhibit strategic thinking, resilience, and adaptability.
