  • Job Description
  • The Scaled Engineering Operations (SEO) team applies human intelligence to some of the toughest problems facing AV development at General Motors (GM).

We work closely with cross-functional teams across Engineering, Product Management, and Business to create and iterate on products that move our business forward. We are integral to the development of GM's ADAS technology. Our products include annotated dataset for machine learning and pareto development, strategic test creation and management, and structured reviews of critical events & simulations to understand the performance of the vehicle onroad and in simulation. We are looking for a Technical Product Operations Manager who can oversee data products that directly impact the rapid, efficient, and safe operations of autonomy in GM's vehicles. Specifically, this individual will need to become well-versed in GM's simulation and testing space. This role operates as a high‑impact individual contributor, owning critical workflows end‑to‑end while influencing how work is done across the team. It requires a blend of operational leadership, analytical rigor, and technical depth, and is execution‑oriented with significant scope for impact. The role is expected to set the bar for quality, provide guidance to peers, and mentor other ICs through influence, with opportunities to take on additional leadership scope as the organization scales. Depending on background and business needs, the role may emphasize simulation and test quality, issue taxonomy and analysis, or large‑scale labeling operations, all grounded in strong systems thinking and cross‑functional leadership. The role combines operational ownership, program leadership, and technical depth to drive analytical and systems‑level problem‑solving that improves quality, scalability, and trust across our core systems. It sits at a critical inflection point between engineering complexity and operational scale, shaping how data, tests, and issues are defined, measured, and acted upon—directly impacting the speed, safety, and reliability of advanced vehicle systems.

  • What You'll Do
  • + Own the data product that supports simulation and test issue management, ensuring itremainsaccurate, scalable, and aligned to protocol execution needs.

+ Maintain, and evolve issue categories to ensure consistent interpretation andhigh‑qualityprotocol data through close collaboration with simulation partners.

+ Identifygaps, refine issue definitions, and ensure consistent application of taxonomy items across teams and workflows.

+ Support the creation of metrics, dashboards, and analyses that surface trends and inform prioritization anddecision‑making.

+ Contribute to adjacent data products and pilot initiatives, flexing across SEO's portfolio to enhance operational excellence and data reliability.

+ Identifyand drive opportunities for process improvements that make simulation/test issue workflows more scalable, efficient, and resilient as the AV software stack evolves.

  • Your Skills & Abilities
  • + 3+ years of experience in consulting, finance, business operations, tech startups, or similarly analytical and strategic environments.

+ Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience.

+ Experience contributing to strategies and solutions within a complex, rapidly evolving domain, ideally involving data products, operational workflows, orAV‑relatedsystems.

+ Strong communicationskills, including the ability to craft clear summaries, present insights, and communicate recommendations to senior stakeholders.

+ Demonstrated analytical rigor, with experience posingdata‑drivenquestions, conducting insightful analysis, and developing or improving metrics and KPIs.

+ Experience collaborating across teams with differing priorities, helping drive clarity, shared understanding, and forward progress.

+ Comfort switching between strategic thinking andhands‑onexecution, adapting to evolving needs with sound judgment and EQ.

+ Willingness to askhard questions, challenge assumptions, and surface inconsistencies to improve data quality and operational clarity.

+ Familiarity with SQL.

  • What Will Give You A Competitive Edge
  • + 5+ years of experience in consulting, finance, business operations, tech startups, or similarly analytical and strategic environments + Proficiencyin SQL andPython for data querying and analysis.

+ Experience supporting ADAS, autonomy, robotics, or complex simulation systems

+ Familiarity with machine learning data operations, including labeling workflows, test quality frameworks, or quality control processes

+ Experience managing or working closely with offshore vendors or external partners, includingday‑to‑dayoperational coordination

+ Comfort acting as a product owner for internal tools, including documenting requirements, prioritizing asks, and influencing roadmaps

+ Experience designingforward‑lookingstrategies within complex, rapidly evolving technical ecosystems—or a strong passion forself‑drivingtechnology and its transformative potential

  • The compensation information is a good faith estimate only.

It is based on what a successful applicant might be paid in accordance with applicable state laws. The compensation may not be representative for positions located outside of New York, Colorado, California, or Washington. + The salary range for this role is $83,800 and $163,400. The actual base salary a successful candidate will be offered within this range will vary based on factors relevant to the position. +
