AI Product Manager
Job Description
The AI Product Manager lead analysis, development and implementation of an AI strategy within ITD applications. Job Functions/Responsibilities
- Define the direction for AI at
PACCAR ITD
Applications- craft a strategy and roadmap that aligns business outcomes, data/platform realities, and responsible AI Standards.
- Lead the AI Applications team of matrixed resources including developers
- Cultivate relationships with AI user groups and practice leaders from other groups inside of ITD
- Identify opportunities across ITD Applications where AI can deliver enhanced efficiency, scalability, and automation, and translate them into scoped opportunities with measurable outcomes.
- Alternately identify, lead and support pilot projects to test and scale successful AI use cases into solutions shared across ITD Applications.
- Own program planning and execution—tracking project progress, dependencies, risks, and benefits across workstreams, and driving delivery with clarity and discipline.
- Monitor support issues for AI services and identify recurring patterns with long term fixes.
- Ensure alignment to data governance, security, and responsible AI policies; drive reviews in partnership with InfoSec, Legal, and Compliance Qualifications
- Minimum of 7 years experience in software development programs
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field
- Experience and/or training in Artificial Intelligence and its uses in software development and platform support
- Experience leading development and implementation of IT strategy desired
- Track record of delivering complex work in conditions of uncertainty.
- Demonstrated leadership skills, including ability to lead cross functional workstreams in a matrixed environment
- Experience with IT program delivery, including leading clarity and stakeholder buy-in leading to successful implementation.
- Strong knowledge of software delivery methodologies.
- Highly self-motivated.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Able to work effectively in a team environment with little or no supervision.
- Demonstrated strong leadership skills.
- Ability to learn and apply technology solutions for business processes quickly.
